Little hottie - dildo discontinued by Happy Valley - review by SelectZen

-Packaging-

Having previously bought the Slim Jim and Big Boy from Happy Valley Toys I knew what to expect from packaging with the Little Hottie. Even still the packaging is fairly disappointing. It arrives in a plastic bag with a cardboard top stapled on to hold it close. While this means you can see the toy straight away it also looks very cheap. Now I know packaging isn’t all that important but it gives the toy the look of a hen-party novelty rather than the nice silicone toy that it is.

Upon closer inspection the cardboard has some useful information about cleaning and lubricants that some other brands don’t include so that was a nice touch.

-Materials/Specifications-

The Little Hottie is available in both red and blue, we chose the red one. Out of the packaging it has a beautiful almost marble effect look to the red. It is a little firmer than previous Happy Valley toys but is by no means rigid. The finish is actually fairly unique amongst all of our toys. If I had to put it into a category I would say it is a matte finish but it doesn’t grate the way matte finishes can. It made from silicone which is a great material for toys for a number of reasons. It is is non-porous (it won’t take in bacteria during use). It is Latex and Phthalate free and can be boiled to sterilise. It is completely odourless as well as tasteless.

Included with a kit is a plastic bullet that is powered by 3 LR44 watch batteries.

The toy is the girth of an average penis and a little shorter than one. It has a hole in the base that is wider than the bullet at first but that slims down further up. This is to allow you to grip the bullet a little easier once fully inserted. The toy is semi-realistic in design with a bulbous head. The dimensions of the toy are as follows.

Overall Length =5 ½ Inches
Insertable Length = 5 Inches
Circumference = 5 - 5 ½ Inches

-In Use-

While my partner has used some larger toys lately we were both excited to try something more on the average side for a change. As this is a silicone toy make sure to use water or oil based lubricants as silicone lubes can damage silicone toys.

The bulbous head provides a good amount of stimulation during use. The base is great for holding on to for thrusting. It is a little on the shorter side so if you like really deep penetration then this might not be for you but the decent girth stimulated my partner well during use.

The bullet sits the full way into the base of the toy. This is good for two reasons. While sitting flush with the base it is deep inside the toy and vibrations travel better. Also it means it can sit flat in a harness for strap-on use. The bullet opperates by use of a single on/off button and has one speed. As with all dense silicone toys some of the vibrations are absorbed by the material but as the toy is fairly short the vibrations actually travel quite well to the tip. You can of course use the bullet separate from the dildo. The bullet itself has pretty strong vibrations for a smaller toy. There is a plastic sleeve inside the battery compartment that must stay there. After I removed it the bullet was starting of its own accord without the base even screwed on so make sure you keep the sleeve inside the battery compartment.

The flared base means it can sit snugly into a harness using a 1 ½ inch O-Ring. It also makes the toy safe for anal use as the base means it won’t get lost during use. I personally didn’t try it for anal use but it has enough girth and a ridge at the head that could make it uncomfortable for anal use if you are a novice or aren’t warmed up. If you are an experienced anal player then the comparatively short length might be a little short for you.

-Cleaning/Storage-

Once you are finished using the toy you have a few options when it comes to cleaning. Obviously you should remove the bullet before you clean the toy. As it is silicone you can boil it to sterilise it or even throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher to clean it. For every day cleaning I find that some warm water and mild antibacterial soap or specialist toy cleaner.

Before putting the toy away, make sure it is completely dry (paying special attention to the hollow). The best solution we have sound for toys is to use zip-seal sandwich bags. These keep the toy free from dust and dirt but more importantly protect the toy from other materials reacting with it. As for the bullet if you are putting it away for any amount of time it is always advisable to remove the batteries so they don't leak or damage the toy.

-Summary-

Overall we were pretty happy with the Little Hottie. It is made from a great material and looks amazing. While I can definitely say it is a firmer silicone than previous happy valley toys we have gotten it is definitely not something I would call too firm or rigid. The packaging was definitely a letdown and the bullet is a little basic but overall the performance of the toy was more than adequate.

It is definitely on the short side when compared to some dildos but the design and girth make it a real pleasure to use. The material and design, coupled with the harness compatible base make this toy a great buy. The length is beginner friendly but the girth might need some warming up to. Overall if you like toys with bulbous heads and average girth then this might be right up your alley.
