Dai-Do #3 - steel dildo discontinued by Big Teaze Toys - review by Love Buzz

The Dai-Do #3 is a hard and rigid metal dildo that features a heavily and robustly textured shaft. Designed to be used for vaginal stimulation the undulating waves of solid steel in the shaft create a very unique sensation during use. While it might be tempting to use anally the lack of flared base mixed with an incredibly slick and slippery surface could end up with the toy disappearing and you needing to visit the ER to have it removed.

The solid Aluminium shaft makes this a perfect toy for temperature play but also quite unsuitable for travel - especially if by air. It can however be easily covered by a condom or sterilised for sharing with others and as it has no mechanical components it can be used virtually anywhere. As it can hold the warmer temperatures it is particularly delightful for use whilst in the bathtub.

With such a rigid and straight shaft it isn't able to provide much stimulation to the G-Spot however due to its size and weight it is great to tighten your muscles around when doing your Kegels.

I chose the Dai Do #3 over its counterparts due to the marvellously, heavily textured shaft.

It features 3 very deep and robust ridges that are around 0.5" wide with equally wide ravines which gives you 3 ridges and their ravines over the 3 inches of texture on the shaft. They begin just after the initial, spherical head of the shaft and in use they mimic the feeling of the head, repeating the sensation of being penetrated. An effect that is similarly duplicated on the outward thrust. Combined with the unforgiving rigidity of metal it is a remarkably unique sensation I have not experienced with any other toy.

In Australia we pronounce it "Al you min e um" rather than "a loo min um" which I think is how most American's pronounce it... not that it matters in the slightest!

Anyway the bright red Aluminium Alloy body has a black section towards the base which is actually a nice, velvety silicone, perfectly positioned to help you grip the toy during use. The Aluminium has an anodised finish that makes it really smooth and shiny. And I mean incredibly smooth, you barely need any lube at all and if it weren't for the silicone grip you might find the toy slipping out of your hands.

All of the materials used in creating the Dai Do are 100% body safe and body friendly, they are free of Phthalates and Latex and are also non-porous. It is scentless and tasteless, just the way one wants their sex toy to be. Other benefits of the materials include easy cleaning, the ability to be sterilised and shared along with the being suitable to be used for temperature play. You can easily adjust the temperature of the toy by warming or cooling it in a bath of warm or icy water.

This toy consists of 3 definable areas along the shaft. There is the spherical head, the wave like textured portion of the shaft and smoother handle area.

The overall length is 8" with a width of 1.75" and maximum girth of 5.75" which may be a little too big for some, but for me it is just perfect. Due to the materials it is quite a heavy toy but it is evenly weighted which makes it much easier to wield. The Silicone grip also helps with the ergonomics of the design. Without this grip it would very easily slip out of your hand during use.

The insertable portion of the toy is 5.5" - measured from the black, silicone band on the handle end. This 5.5" is made up of an inch of smooth shaft followed by 3 very deep waves that are each around an inch each which are capped off by the 1.5" spherical head.

The waves can be quite intense so I would only recommend it to those who know that they enjoy toys with extreme texture and rigidity. The weight may also be an issue for some as a sex toy weighing in at 1.6lbs or 0.76kgs isn't something to sneeze at.

The overall look is quite artistic and a little abstract so there is a slight possibility that some may not recognise that it is a sex toy, but a small silver badge on the silicone grip that says "Big Tease Toys" really does give it away.

Even for me, a person who absolutely loves toys that are plus sized and rigid, a decent amount of work up is required to use the Dai-Do #3.

The heavy and over stated texture can easily feel overwhelming. It is rather intense and can even be painful if you or your partner gets a bit rough with it. Even if you don't realise it at the time it is quite easy to bruise and damage the delicate tissues of the vagina. I know that I have often woken up the next morning wishing I hadn't been quite so enthusiastic the night before.

Very little lube is needed with this toy and it is important to try and keep it off the black silicone as if this becomes slick you may find yourself imitating a juggler!

Whilst this isn't a toy for the faint of heart, if you do like glass and metal toys and enjoy textured, wavy shafts it is a great toy to have in the toy box as the sensations it creates are incredibly unique and enjoyable.

This is one of the easiest toys to care for and maintain that I have within my collection.

I think the most important note is to not go chucking it about within your toy box as it is quite heavy and could easily cause damage to toys made of hard plastic or possibly chip one created from glass. Having a separate storage place for metal toys isn't a bad idea.

When it comes to cleaning you can simply wash it with some soap and water or your favourite toy cleaner. More recently I've been using the Eden Fantasys toy wipes and they are perfect for a non porous toy such as this.

If you wish to sterilise it you can wipe it down with a diluted bleach solution or with Isopropyl Alcohol. You can also boil it for 3-5 minutes or put it through the dishwasher on the top shelf.

Once it is completely dry you can simply op it back into its drawstring bag and store it away until you next wish to play.

The packaging is very slick and pretty to look at, but once you have opened it you will find it is best headed towards the recycling bin.

Whilst it would make for a great gift the packaging isn't the least bit practical for storage. It consists of a slick, printed cardboard box that has images and product information printed on it. Within this box there is a plastic cradle/shell that is covered in a black velvet-ish fabric which is moulded specially to hold the Dai-Do #3. However it is incredibly flimsy, which just doesn't cut it for a toy that weighs 1.6lbs (0.74kg). Thankfully though there is a lovely black satin drawstring pouch included that one can use for future storage of the toy.

This isn't a toy that will suit everyone and at time I think it takes a vagina of steel to enjoy it. You do need to keep in mind that extreme textures such as those on the Dai-Do #3 can cause internal bruising as well as small tears in tissue if you aren't careful with it. I've found it takes a special mood for me to want to play with this toy as it can cause a little pain as well as pleasure. Often I use it for short periods during a session where other toys are also involved as I always end up getting over excited and often regret it the following day.
