Icicles No. 36 - harness and dildo set by Pipedream - review by unfulfilled

Icicles No. 36 by Pipedream is a very versatile set that includes an exquisite pink and gold nylon harness and a heavy duty glass dildo. With this set you can use the dildo and harness together, use the glass piece separately, or use another dildo with a large base with the harness.

If you're using this as a set, you can vaginally or anally penetrate your partner, but using caution is advised while thrusting as not to hurt your partner.

If you use the dildo without the harness, you can use this either vaginally or anally with or without a partner.

You can also use the dildo for temperature play; all you need to do is have a bowl of warm or cool water and place your dildo in the water, and it will change temperatures.

All glass toys can be used in any water situation the user prefers. If you're one who enjoys some naughty time in the shower, hot tub, or swimming pool, then you can take the dildo with you.

I think the harness is best for beginners who want to experiment with strap-on play and don't want to spend the money for a leather harness. The glass piece is a wonderful addition to anyone's toy box, but is best for those who are not looking for a slender dildo.

The dildo is made of Pyrex glass, which is a form of borosilicate glass that is more resistant to breakage when dropped. If it happens to break, it will break into larger pieces instead of tiny slivers. Always inspect your glass toys carefully for any cracks or chips before using for the first time.

Glass rates a ten on the Eden safety scale and is one of the safest materials that you can get. Glass is non porous, hypoallergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. Glass is also completely odorless and tasteless, as well as waterproof.

Glass has no give to it at all, so it is not for those who prefer flexible toys. This particular glass toy is very heavy. You can feel the bulges while inserted, and these bulges may be too intense for some, so start slow and be aware how you or your partner responds.

Pipedream's website and the provided box did not include any information regarding the harness material, but I consider it to be a polyester-cotton blend. The straps are made out of nylon.

The dildo is a wonderful golden hue, and has a round bulbous head with a slight curve to it and two bulges down the shaft.

The majority of the harness is pink, with a little bit of decorative gold that complements the dildo. It has slits in the material at the front where the nylon straps go through. The underside is a soft black material outlined in pink. It has two waist straps and two thigh straps, and they attach to the pink O-ring by four silver snaps. There is one snap on each nylon strap. You can adjust these straps by loosening or tightening at the white plastic buckle on the harness.






There were a few loose strings where the slits are cut-out for the nylon to go through, but other than that the stitching is fine.

You can use the harness with other toys that have larger bases. Those with smaller bases are not secure and tend to flop around in the O-ring. If you want to use the harness with smaller toys, you will need to buy an O-ring that is smaller than the one that is included.

The dildo itself is 7 1/2" long with an insertable length of 7". The base measures 7" around. The head of the dildo measures 4 1/2" around, 3 3/4" around underneath the head, 5" around at the second bump, 4" underneath the bump, 5" at the third bump, and 4" right above the base.



The front section of the harness is 5 1/2" long and 6 3/4" wide and somewhat resembles a heart. The back is 4" long at the ends and 5 1/2" long in the center. It measures 18" across at the back where it sits on your hips. The nylon waist strap measures 42 1/2" long per strap and can be adjusted like the straps on a backpack by pulling the material tight to a comfortable fit. The thigh straps measure 37" long and can be adjusted as well. The nylon straps are 1" wide.

The included O-ring has an outside circumference of 5 1/2" and inside circumference of 4"


I'm 5'6", 125 pounds, and have 32" hips, and I was able to adjust the harness tight for me with plenty of excess strap, so I feel it will accommodate many sizes.

The harness was very easy to slip into; all you need to do is step through the area designated for your legs and slide it up. From there the harness is very easy to use: simply slide the dildo through the hole in the back of the O-ring and adjust the nylon waist and thigh straps until they're tight. To do this, you slide the tension clips until they comfortably fit your body. Once you're done, all you need to do is take the dildo out, loosen the tension clips, and slide out of the harness.


When slipping the glass dildo through the O-ring, the bulges made it tight to slip in, so a little bit of forcing had to occur to get it though the O-ring. I did not have any issues with other dildos I tried fitting through the O-ring, though. When adjusted correctly, the harness holds the dildo in securely and it stays secure no matter how much movement is involved.

I wouldn't recommend playing too rough with it. The issue I see is the nylon is sewn to the material at the sides, and potentially this could weaken with time.

It is slippery when lube is applied, so please be sure to keep a good hold on it if you're not using it with the harness.

As far as comfort is concerned, the nylon isn't itchy at all, but can become uncomfortable after a while where the nylon rubs against your skin.

Glass is very easy to care for. First remove if from the harness and hand wash in warm water and antibacterial soap. You can also use your favorite toy cleaner or wipes. Glass is dishwasher safe and can be sanitized with a 10% bleach solution.

If you need to wash the harness, I recommend wiping it down with a washcloth or putting it in a lingerie bag or pillowcase, since we're not exactly sure what the materials used in making the harness are.

Glass is compatible with all lubes, so feel free to use your favorite brand.

The packaging has a hang strip used for store use. It features the toy on all sides of the box and would not be suitable for gifting, because it is not discreet. It has a magnetic flap that you open with a little piece of white ribbon, and inside features a picture of a woman wearing the harness, as well as a close up of the dildo. The harness is sealed in plastic packaging in the box.

I'm giving this an overall rating of 4 stars. The dildo by itself is worthy of a 5 star rating, but the harness with its few issues is not worthy of that rating.

This was my first Icicles and first harness, and it was a great experience for me. My husband and I have not laughed so much in the bedroom in ages. He kept telling me that I needed to work on my thrust and figure out how to control it. I give it to Pipedream for making a quality product, because the dildo stayed secure no matter how much I bounced around.
