Icicle, Icicle, where are you going?
This icicle is a treat for all seasons, and can be used for all sorts of sensations including cold and heat. Quality, safe materials for dildo play!Published: March 25, 2010
Pros:
Beautiful, inexpensive, smooth.
Cons:
Would love a little fabric sleeve included to keep it in.
This beautiful glass icicle gives new meaning to the Tori Amos lyrics. It is really stunning when you take it out of the packaging. Along with the swirling blue there is a rainbow iridescent sheen to the glass surface. At the bottom end is a full bulb but the variations grow smaller as they rise to the top.
I have a thing for sensation play in toys, and this glass dildo is my first. It was cold right out of the packaging, even though it was to room temperature. I have yet to play with it straight from the fridge. I just have to figure out a way to sneak it into the fridge where my roommate won't see!
This icicle was a pleasure just to run along the skin and feel the weight of it in your hand. Glass pieces offer a sort of luxury feeling and make even solo play feel like you are really "treating" yourself. My experience was a solo session right before going to bed. Definitely stimulating, then relaxing.
With a little Slippery Kitty lube the icicle was a delight to insert. The variation on the bumps felt amazing and the larger bulb near at the base gave a good grip to hold on to.
This glass toy had no seams or ridges, which is key for anyone suffering from vulvar vestibulitis. This translates to no irritation upon penetration and ease in gliding in and out of the vaginal opening.
I have a feeling that glass toys will become an addiction for me if I don't watch out. Especially the smooth wand shaped toys without too many nubs or swirls.
This is a definite choice for those looking for a smooth glass toy to start out with, the price is inexpensive and a great "starter" piece.

The icicle is becoming my favorite non-vibrating toy, especially for solo play. The glass is such a cold sensation and so smooth.

Glass or Vibe

I enjoy vibrators, but i love the look of these glass stimulators. Which is better?
-
I think they are not very comparable... They serve different purposes.

Cracks or Swirls?
-
Well, now that my fears about bubbles have been alleviated, here's a different one. The Icicles No. 8 is freaking beautiful, no doubt about it. It's got that awesome double-helix pattern going on inside. But after I received mine, upon close inspection, I noticed that there seemed to be what looked like small, smooth cracks on two or three spots. I felt a bit alarmed, but then I realized that they ran along the edge of the helix pattern - pretty much part of it. Since the toy feels completely smooth, I'm thinking that they might just be hiccups that occurred when the toy was made. I've used it without any trouble, but it's still bugging me a bit. What do you guys think?

Actually, I've had the opportunity to handle five or sixpof these in a store, on top of the one that I own. I've noticed that most of these lovelies have this "cracked" look, and I believe it's actually part of the design. Hope this is helpful! :)
