Icicles No. 17 is a versatile and beautiful piece of art that is more than sexually satisfying. It can be used for a variety of things. The glass itself holds heat VERY well. That can be said for most glass toys, but I've found that Icicles holds heat a lot better than most. Fill a warm bowl with warm water (not too hot, but you can determine what is "too hot") and set the toy down in the water and let it sit for 10 minutes. It will become the exact same temperature, and hold that temperature for a good 20 minutes.


What if you like it cold? Well, glass does that too! Of course, you want to make sure to let your glass fully cool back to room temperature before going from hot to cold. Glass can shatter if the temperature is changed to quickly. This is rare, but it has happened to me once and I don't intend to let it happen again! Do the same thing and fill a bowl with cool water, or even ice water if you dare. Let it sit for about 10 minutes or more if you want it to get colder, and it should last a good 20-25 minutes. Cold seems to last longer than the hot.


The glass toy, nonetheless, will warm to your body temperature. So if you wish not to change the temperature, you don't have to. Just insert it inside of you, or hold it in your hands and it will warm to your body within a minute. It's like magic!

Glass is just the easiest to care for! Wash it down with warm water and antibacterial soap and you're good to go! If you choose to dishwash, as many do, be sure to use a medium heat cycle (nothing too hot) and use a dish soap made for glass. Otherwise you will have an ugly white tint to your toy. If you do this on accident, some apple cider vinegar will get rid of this tint. If you do NOT have a dishwasher that has different heat cycles, avoid using this method. Also avoid boiling. If there happens to be an air bubble in your toy it could burst and cause injury.


Storage is very easy. Icicles gives you a great, pre-fitted styrofoam "bed" inside of each box where your toy can "sleep". Other than that, you can wrap it in a fluffy towel, or use a toy pouch that is padded to keep it safe. Be sure to store it where it cannot fall. Definitely somewhere that is not near a hard floor such as tile, wood, etc.


Since glass is not porous you may use any lubricant you darn well please!

If you haven't seen the Icicles boxes, they are pretty discreet. It says nothing about sex or sensuality anywhere on the box. You can see a picture of the toy, and when you open the flap you can see the toy through the plastic. To me this isn't a huge deal. I would open this in front of family because it's a very discreet looking piece.

I'm so pleased with this toy that I'm tempted to get a back up in case I lose it or break it one day. It is so beautiful and the flower detailing on the bulb is gorgeous. People have come in the house asking where I found this piece of art... Shhh... I'll never tell!
