If You Can Get Past The Smell, It's Not That Bad...

If you have no sense of smell or don't mind the powerful smell of rubber, this is a decent toy. However, my nose works normally and the odor this toy puts out is a turn-off. Because of the odor, this went from a 4-star toy to only 2. Doc Johnson, if you make this exact toy with a less-smelly material, I'd love you forever!

Use

The Vibrating 6" Ballsy Cock is a realistic dildo with a 7 function vibrating control. It can be used for both clitoral and penetration stimulation, and is recommended for 'non-shower' use. Even though it looks like it may be waterproof, the labeling suggests otherwise.

The dildo is veined and textured to match an actual penis, and it feels lifelike when inserted. The vibrating bullet is in the upper-middle area of the shaft, and can be felt throughout the toy.

The product is travel-friendly, if you have your own means of storage (and aren't going on a plane). The packaging cannot be used as a storage device, so I would only recommend travelling with this toy is you have a good way of keeping it safe.

Material / Texture

The texture of this dildo is fantastic. It feels lifelike when inserted; Not too rigid like plastic or metal/glass, and not too flimsy or rubbery. This is because of the Sil-A-Gel material.

Sil-A-Gel is slightly porous, which means condoms are recommended if you are sharing this toy. The material is both water and silicone-based lube friendly, which is a plus.

However, one of the major cons of Sil-A-Gel is the smell. It is a PVC base, and had a very strong, rubbery odor to it that does not fade easily. For more information on the smell of Sil-A-Gel (and possible ways to get rid of the odor) please read this article.

Design / Shape / Size

The design, aside from being a radioactive purple, is very realistic. It's an average-sized dildo in both length and girth, and is very flexible. Great for beginners as well as advanced users that aren't looking for a 'mammoth-sized' dildo.

The specs for this toy are:

Color: Purple
Length: 6 1/4"
Insertable length: 5"
Circumference: 5 1/2"
Diameter: 1 1/2"
Weight: 0.75 lb

It feels lighter than listed, and is very easy to grip. Sil-A-Gel doesn't retain heat as well as other materials, so warming up prior to use isn't going to work very well. If the toy is cold, a few seconds in your hands will warm it up a little.

There is one major design flaw I would like to address -

The power cord going from the dildo to the remote control is on the base. Because of this, putting the toy in its base and sitting down on it becomes a little awkward. There's a little bit of give with the Sil-A-Gel, but you can still feel the toy leaning to one side when it's on its base.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrating controls let you cycle through seven different vibrating functions. They include three intensity levels (low/med/high) and four pulse patterns. The versatility is nice, but turning the toy off and on again will set you back to function #1, which is a low hum. I would love it if this toy would remember your last setting, as we (like most people) have our favorites.

The control is easy to figure out, and can easily be worked by you or a partner. If alone, this turns it into a two-handed toy (one for insertion, one for controls) until you find a setting you like.

The toy takes 3 AA batteries, which last about 4 hours if you do a non-stop session. I tested the batteries by turning the toy on to it's highest setting, and starting a timer. On lower settings, your batteries will last a little longer.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings
    • Strong patterns

Care and Maintenance

Sil-A-Gel attracts dust/hair and retains smells. It is a very difficult material to work with. Because of this, I would recommend cleaning it thoroughly before and after use (5+ minutes recommended) with soap and water or a good anti-bacterial toy cleaner.

To keep it away from dust (and from transferring the rubbery smell to other toys) make sure to store this toy by itself in a dust-free container. I keep this in a plastic baggy, to trap the smell in. (seriously, the smell... oh the smell...)
    • Difficult to store
    • Hard to clean
    • High maintenance

Personal comments

The toy itself isn't bad. The function and the feel make it one of the better vibrating dildos in my ever-growing collection.

However, the smell is a deal-breaker. Unless I can get the Rubbery PVC smell to back off, this toy isn't going to be around very much longer.

It actually took about a week of 'airing it out' and daily washings before we would use it.

Day 1, fresh out of the package: The smell overwhelmed my partner and I, and made the entire bedroom stink. We had to open the windows and air the room out (In Idaho, in winter) before we would go back in.

Day 3, still smelly: I started washing it with a scented soap and water. 15 minute sessions each day, in hopes it would help.

Day 6, still smelly: The smell had dissipated, but not by a lot. My partner had a stuffy nose and couldn't smell anything, so I jumped at the opportunity. The odor can kill a mood easily, and the lack of smell helped make it an overall pleasurable experience.

Day 7: It's been in a vagina now, and washed over and over. The rubber smell is still fairly distinct, but not nearly as powerful as it once was. It still stinks... even touching it transfers the smell to your hands...
Follow-up commentary
THE SMELL... IT JUST WON'T GO AWAY...

This is a neat little toy, but the smell is a big turn off. If you have a dulled sense of smell and can overlook the rubbery odor, this may just be a good toy for your collection.
