In Deep Trouble -- the Good Kind!Deep Water is a great glass dildo -- the nubs are delightful, while the two ends provide interesting variety. My only complaints are that it's not suitable for deep anal penetration, P-spotting and the curve of the toy is a little shy for real G-spotting pressure. However, the Deep Water is still a great addition to any glass collection.
1. Vaginal play
2. Some texture challenge
3. Temperature play
The Deep Water is a double-ended glass dildo from SSA glass. It has one large bulbed head at one end and two smaller heads at the bottom. There is a ridge of raised nubs down the center of the shaft for interesting texture. The end with the large head is gently curved -- you would have to tell me it's a G-spot toy, though I do find that the large head does provide some G-spot stimulation for me.
The Deep Water is suitable for vaginal penetration, but probably not anal penetration as there is no flared based to this toy. Even though Deep Water is a double ended glass toy, it's not long enough to be used by two women at the same time. Think of it as 2 flavors, one ice cream cone! Certainly, you could use it on a female-bodied person for vaginal play as the bulbed heads on either end are good to hold onto.
Anyone who loves firm toys and just a hint of challenging texture will love the Deep Water. Likewise if already know you love glass, but at looking for a new, pretty addition to your collection. And of course, temperature play!
Glass and Texture
Glass is totally non-porous, without odor or taste; glass is very rigid and smooth. Lube will go a long way with glass, which is wonderful, but thrusting should be done with caution. If you like the hard sensation, like I do, glass is the way to go!
Love those nubs!
While the Deep Water is certainly not realistic looking, it's fairly phallic. For me, it feels nothing at all like real penetration: it's really alien feeling, due to the waves and bulbed heads. But the real special part of the Deep Water are the nubs. This was my first experience with a nubbed texture and I liked it. Nubs are a little harder on sensitive skin than ridges, but the the localized sensation is really something else. If you're comfortable with thrusting, the nubs give a really unique, almost hot feeling.
I loved that on one dildo is such a variety of texture and size.
The Deep Water is not challenging in size, which I very much appreciate. I loved the shape of the Deep Water! Rigid toys are the only way I can achieve good G-spot or cervix orgasms and the Deep Water delivers.
For clarity, I'll called the big head side the Bulb...
...and the bottom side with the two bumps the Bubbles side.
I wish the curve for the top head (Bulb) was more pronounced! I love a little more pressure on my G-spot. As it was, my G-spot was mainly stimulated by the bulb of the head itself. My preferred end is the large head, but the wave the two-bulbed end (Bubbles) gives is a nice change of pace.
Certainly, since the nubs are biased to one end, the two sides really do feel like different toys. Using Bulb provides a small challenge for insertion as well as the nubs directly under the curve of the head. Bubbles, however, is a gentler wave feeling; but when it's inserted some length, you'll start feeling the nubs on your clit and inner labia. Interesting!I found penetration with either end slightly difficult, since they aren't that tapered, so lube is recommended.
A 10% bleach solution could be made in which to immerse your Deep Water; or you could boil it. You could pop it in the top rack of the dishwasher or give it a scrub by hand with soap and warm water.
What I love most about glass toys is that they're like an investment, without having to pay too much. The Deep Water is beautiful and it's colors won't fade with time, dust or exposure to sunlight; it has no motor or batteries to die on you, either. Your glass toys will definitely outlive all the others in your collection, so I'd say they're great bang for your buck.
SSA glass packages their toys in a red, velvet-like bag and some bubble wrap. I think this is adequate packing and it's also how I store my Deep Water. It's not so much to look at, but it keeps somewhat cushioned and away from my other glass toys. Keep in mind that laying glass toys on top of each other means that, if they bump with enough force, they will damage each other.
Deep Water, along with my other glass toys, has begun to be a my 'easy fix'! I don't have to do much with it, don't have to charge it and cleaning is so easy. I love the nubs and it's started my search into my textured toys. I don't regret this toy -- and I foresee many more successful play times to come. See what I did there?
