Ribbed - dildo by Doc Johnson - review by Lunacy Setting in

I ordered this, and a G-Spot vibrator as Christmas presents for myself in 2008. I remember being excited about this dildo. I had never used one before and I liked how this one was not only inexpensive, but also good for beginners. And while I'm not the most experienced girl, I thought the ribbed-ness would feel really good.

I loved the vibrator, but I really did not have luck with this dildo. I've played with it a few times since I bought it, and every time it has just hurt. Not like an agonizing pain, but I've felt the ribs in it bump up against something at the top of my vag; and I stop after a few minutes.I had actually ordered this because

I have trouble during sex. It feels like my cervix [or some reproductive organ] is being pushed backwards when a guy enters me. When I bought this, the guy I was seeing would just stop whenever we'd try to have sex because I was hurting. However, the guy I'm now seeing is working with me to find a position way to have sex, that isn't so uncomfortable; so that's nice. Maybe I'll be able to enjoy this toy here again as well.

Maybe the ribs bumping into me are supposed to feel good, but it wasn't what I expected and I really didn't enjoy it. I tried using extra lube [on the condom that is covering it, of course] and putting pillows under my butt to get a different angle, but neither really did the trick. So I think it's more of an issue with me and my body, and potential cluelessness, than the product.

It seems like a decent product though. It's a good price, it's a jelly toy so it has a significant smell [my toy kit smells like it] and it's easy to clean. After you use it, just take the condom off of it and wash with warm water & mild soap. Either dry it really well, or let it sit out for a bit to dry off, and then wrap it up separately and put it back. Not sure where I heard the "wrap it up" thing, but I keep mine in a Ziploc bag.

Honestly I would say it's worth a try, because I have a feeling most people would enjoy this. Therefore I'm giving it two stars, because while I didn't have a very good experience with it, I think it is a decent product overall.
