Glass G-spot shaft by Doc Johnson
One of the good things about being a sex toy reviewer with writer's block is that one of the best ways around it is to spend more quality time with the sex toy. It took a good three afternoon sessions with the Doc Johnson Intruder until I figured out how it fits in with what gets me off.
When it arrived I wasn't entirely sure I'd like it. Being on of those high-class glass g-spot shafts, it has a really satisfying weight and looks elegant and futuristic in a Stanley Kubrick sort of way-all sleek and curved and gleaming and perfectly clear. But the curve is so pronounced and the material is so unyielding I figured if it didn't fit just right, it would be tremendously uncomfortable. And while G-spot stimulation feels great, for me it always leads to orgasms that are just kind of flat; pleasant, but nothing to write home about. So for the sake of journalistic integrity I pushed all thoughts of "looks kind of like a shoehorn" to the back of my mind and proceeded with an open mind, but mild expectations.
The first thing I was wrong about was that it would be uncomfortable. The glass is so exquisitely smooth I skipped the lube altogether. With the flared, curved head tapering to a thinner base, the sensation is a unique combination of pressure in all the right places, but without feeling filled up. Another g-spot vibrator of mine has a much smaller, narrower tip, so I wondered how well the Intruder's larger, bulb-like end would feel. Would the sensation be too widely distributed to really target my G-spot? After about 20 minutes playing with the Intruder-twisting it around alternated with hard and fast penetration-I was ready for some clit stimulation to seal the deal. To my surprise and delight, not only was my orgasm anything but "flat," it was also accompanied by the most copious and whole-body-relaxing ejaculation I've experienced. I guess the wider end of the Intruder wasn't a drawback in the least.
The Intruder isn't going to replace any of my current sex toy box favorites, but it has changed my mind about G-spot stimulation being a bit ho-hum and has certainly inspired me to give other Phallix glass toys a try.
