Oh, lovely dual density, sterilizeable, body safe, squeezable, chuckable, fuckable silicone dildos. The uses for these are numerous and lovely. Since silicone is the softest of the safest toy materials, it is a great choice. Not saying that wood, stainless steel, and borosilicate glass aren't great, but sometimes a thick, soft dildo is needed to help please the orifice. Whether it is for vaginal thrusting, anal stuffing, or sharing between partners who are huffing and puffing, silicone is sure to please. But sometimes plain old silicone is just a little too rock hard. While it may please some with g-spot or p-spot pleasure, others need something a little bit, squishier.

Here comes the hero, our favorite, the greatest, Johnny. But he isn't any old Johnny, but Vixen's VixSkin Johnny, made out of wonderful dual density silicone. He is just as safe of a toy as his cheaper brother, but he is more loving and forgiving. Want something to fill you up, but be able to squeeze past your tight anal or vaginal muscles, here's Johnny!

This is our second VixSkin dildo, the first one being the Goodfella. This is the only dual density brand that we have, and it is wonderful. The great thing about silicone is that it is latex free, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, and non-porous. This means that with proper care, it can be used anally, then disinfected for vaginal use. It can also be fully sterilized for sharing between partners. But regular silicone is really firm, so in comes dual density silicone. This has the same great safety features as regular silicone, but it has a softer outer layer, with a firmer inner core for stability.

The first larger dildo that we purchased was the Tantus VIP. The VIP seemed to be a good size, with a very similar shape and insertable length to Johnny, but with a diameter of only 1 1/2". However, the large ridge under the head, and the extremely stiff, unyielding silicone was too much for my wife. Even with warm-up and plenty of lube, insertion and any thrusting with the VIP would be too painful for her.

After this experience, we went on the hunt for a dildo that would work for my wife. When I found out about dual density silicone, we were very interested in it, but still a little nervous with larger dildos. But with VixSkin, we shouldn't have been nervous. It allows just enough squish to be lifelike, and besides a little bit of a longer penis with Johnny, and the dark chocolate color compared to my pale white boy skin, it was a perfect match. We absolutely love dual density!

When first comparing the squish of Johnny to the Goodfella, I thought the Goodfella was squishier. But as I kept squeezing my 2 extra cocks, I realized they had about the same squish to them. It just felt different because Johnny is so much larger. I also noticed that there seems to be a little bit more firm silicone on the back side of the shaft, adding even more realism to this dildo.

After using the Goodfella for a while, I asked my wife what she thought about its size. She said that she enjoyed the Goodfella, but just wished it was a little larger. The head was almost just right, but the shaft was very small right under the head. So when Johnny arrived, I knew he was going to be larger. But jeeze wiz did he look huge sitting in his packaging. Sitting upright in his package, he measures 6.5" tall, but that is with a pretty large curve. Straighten him out, and he goes to 7.5" in height. But he does have a nice hefty base, larger that the Goodfella, so you loose almost 1". But that is fine for my wife, because his length was more than enough to satisfy her, and still give me enough space for my hand for the thrusting.

Johnny has a large, defined head, much like the Goodfella's. But Johnny's is much, much larger. The front of the head measures 1 3/4" long, while the back is only 3/4". The head also has a 1 3/4" diameter. Going down the head, you are greeted with some skin folds at the top of the shaft, and some veins down towards the bottom of the shaft. The shaft measures 1 3/4" at the skin detailing, and then goes down to 1 11/16" right under that, and all the way down to the base.

Unlike the Goodfella, Johnny has a normal base to him. This means that if used in a harness, the balls would be sitting behind the ring. But since my wife and I don't use a harness right now, I can't comment on this. I would however like to use a thigh or hand harness in the future. I think it could be a lot of fun. His base comes out .5" all around his shaft, and then flares out 2 1/8" by 3" around the balls. One ball is 1 3/8" tall, and the other is 1 1/2" tall.

Once we received Johnny from Eden, I was quick to open him up, inspect him, squeeze him, and clean him. When we were playing around later that night, I pulled Johnny out so he could join in on the fun. After applying two drops of our favorite water based lubricant, Sliquid Organics Gel on his head, he was ready to go in. I slowly pushed him into my wife's vagina, watching for any painful signs. She said it wasn't painful, like the VIP or the large bulb on the Pure Wand, but it was definitely a stretching feeling for her. However, once inside, it was smooth sailing.

The shaft was the perfect size with the right amount of squish, and she wanted me to hold it between her legs looking up at her. This provided me space on the bed with a great review, so I complied. With a silicone dildo, you have many different options for cleaning. The first and the main one we use is warm water and anti-bacterial soap, followed by a towel dry. With silicone you have the possibility of picking up lint from the towels when you do this, but it isn't an issue for us. To sterilize, you can place it in the top rack of the dishwasher with no soap, use a 10% bleach solution then rinse it off with water, or boil Johnny for 3 minutes. But if you plan to boil him, make sure you have a large pot. The one time I boiled the Goodfella, I kept having to reach for the next pot to find one that he would fit in, and then it took a lot of water to cover him during the boil.

For storage, you have to be a little bit more gentle with dual density silicone. If you place Johnny underneath something heavy, there might be a permanent indention in the soft outer layer. I recommend storing Johnny in the container that he comes in, and leave him upright. I also make sure to place my toys out of direct sunlight for storage.

Also, you have to be cautious which lubricant you use with a silicone dildo. You can do a spot test with silicone lubricant somewhere on the base to see if it reacts with Johnny, but I prefer to just play it safe. I stick with water based lubricants for all of our toy needs. We don't even have a silicone based one anymore, we threw it away a year ago!

The packaging for both Johnny and the Goodfella are the exact same, clamshell style packaging. It is clear, with "Vixskin Worth Every Inch" on the front, and some more info on the back. They are hand made in San Francisco. The packaging is 5 3/4" wide, 3" thick, and 8 3/4" tall. It is very easy to open and re-seal the packaging, and they do stand upright. Johnny is to the point of being almost too tall to fit in his packaging, but it works.
