Jumping Into Pegging

I spent a lot of time researching toys for pegging, and I'm very glad I decided on the Share. I honestly don't think there's a better toy out there for it. I imagine it's excellent for female-on-female penetrative sex as well. Perhaps some vibration would have added to the toy, but I think it would just end up seeming like a gimmick on an already fabulous device.

Pros:
Is highly stimulating for both partners and beautifully designed.
Cons:
Might be a little too big for some. Not the best first toy for anal "virgins".

Use

This toy can be used by any couple who wants to share penetration, and is especially useful when one partner has a vagina (be they a ciswoman or a transman). The shaft end of the Share is satisfying enough to use the toy for masturbation: the bulb end makes a decent handle in a pinch.

My personal experience with the Share is with pegging (female on male penetrative sex, I being the male), which I think it is just perfect for. I recommend Maximus or a similar thick lube. This should be added generously to the shaft. I recommend using a condom to ease clean-up, but the 100% silicone does not make sterilization hard. The bulb end also may need a little lube too, as it may be on the large size for some women. A thick lube is useful here too, unlike for most vaginal applications, since you don't want much movement. A harness with a ring (but no back) can be used. We don't have one, although I can see how it would help to keep the toy from occasionally falling out.

I won't give a full introduction to pegging here (the Bend Over Boyfriend series is a good resource), but these are the basics. Use a lubed finger (finger condoms can be invaluable here) to both lubricate and lightly clean the inside of the anus. Be generous on the foreplay, especially if you haven't had much in your ass before. Then get in a position you feel comfortable in. Many men find that squatting on top while their partner is lying on their back is a good place to start. Personally, I find being on all fours to feel the most natural.

Be aware that it will probably take a bit of patience to get the shaft in for the first time. The end is rather blunt. Your partner should press it only lightly against your ass. Do most of the moving at first by yourself. Push gently back/down into the toy. Try to visualize the toy going in. Imagine yourself opening up to it. If it begins to sting, pull it back out and try again. It may take a few minutes, but eventually your butt will accept the toy and it will slide in. Once you're over the bulbous tip of the shaft, you're past the hardest part.

Now the giver can begin to move the toy slowly and gently. You don't want rigorous thrusting right away; it will just make you tenser. Give a lot of feedback to your partner and soon you'll be able to work up to a pretty good rhythm!

Material / Texture

The Share is made out of very nice silicone. It is soft but very firm. The texture can cause unwanted friction if you don't use enough lube, but I've never found it to be a problem. The shaft will bend, at maximum, about 30 degrees with the bulb held stationary. This can be minimized by using a harness. Users who are looking for vaginal penetration might want something a bit softer, but I found this perfect for pegging. Of course, this is made by Fun Factory, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that it's an aesthetic and ergonomic wonder.

Design / Shape / Size

The tip of the shaft makes insertion a little challenging, but it stimulates my prostate like nobody's business. It helps that the toy is quite big-it's bigger than me! I really like the look of the toy. It is somewhat penis-like, but definitely not so much that it's off-putting. I can't speak from personal experience, but my wife highly enjoys the bulb end as well. It seems to hit her G-spot, and the ridge at the bottom of the shaft is right at clit-level.

Performance

Any harness-free double dildo is going to fall out sometimes. The Share, however, does a wonderful job staying in due to the bulb's unique shape and ample size. As always, a little sense of humor and flexibility goes a long way when dealing with this, or any harness-free double dildo.

For some, either end might be too big. It is a rather hefty toy.

Care and Maintenance

I recommend a thick, water based lube for this toy. It's silicone which means you can also use oil-based lubes as long as you're not using a condom on it. Silicone lubes are a big no-no. You can wash it with soap and water, which should be sufficient if you didn't let any part of the toy enter the anal canal. Otherwise, boiling the toy for a couple minutes is a good idea. If it seems a bit bendy when it comes out of the water, don't worry, it'll regain its shape when it cools. There are no tricky creases of crevices which makes the Share a breeze to clean. I would keep it out of the open air just so it doesn't collect hair and dust.
    • Easy to clean

Personal comments

For genderplay, those with vaginas may enjoy inserting the bulb and either jacking off or receiving non-penetrative stimulation on the shaft of toy. It can produce quite intense sensations both internally and externally.

Experience

Despite the fact that there is a toy between us, pegging using the Share is an intensely intimate experience for myself and my wife. I don't want to minimize how great pegging with a harness and one-ended dildo can be, but the aptly-named Share feels as mutual and powerful as penis-in-vagina intercouse.

Wonderful review, thanks! There will definitely be a Share in my future, though maybe not quite yet coz as you say, it's a bit big for a first anal toy and the lad and I are just starting off

Great review! I'm looking at this toy for female-on-female sex, but your review still gave a lot of useful information, like using a thicker lube to help it stay in place.

  • can you get off while using this?
    • I would really love to be using this with my partner, at got off at the same time..
    • without too much effort on my part?
    • It really depends on your anatomy and what gets you off.

If it can hit your g-spot, that'll do something, but it varies person-to-person how much. It might hit your clitoris, but again depends on how the toy fits your body - and if you can get off from that kind of stimulation.

Personally, I don't rely on it to get me "all the way" all by itself - because I can't orgasm so far with just g-spot and clitoral touching. Some people certainly can, it just depends. :)

  • Strapless dildos
    • Are strapless dildos hard to use for beginners?
    • I've never tried one myself, but I've heard they have a bit of a learning curve and you need strong kegels to use them properly. I've also heard, however, that they will work with a harness if you need extra stability.
    • It really seems like they're hard to use period. I don't know of anyone who regularly uses them without a harness (though I'd love to hear from someone who does).

How do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness?

      Thank you.

      Thank you.
They both work well in a harness. Share is a little bouncier and thicker and jucier and Feeldoe is much firmer. I find them both easy to use with no harness, although I find Nexus JR the easiest to retain. Out of all the double dildoes I have tried (all 4 Feeldoes, both Shares, Tango, and the three Nexus sizes, I find Tango the hardest to hold with my muscles followed by Nexus Maximus (weighs a ton) and Share XL (weighs like a brick and is floppy) . I'm a driver. It matters a bit less if you are a pillow princess.
    • I have the Feeldoe(slim) and the Tango and have used the Share. I agree with Kuuipogal. But for me they all pop out just prior to orgasm despite strong Kegels but the "look" w/o a harness is awesome.
I am a hard and vigorous driver so a harness for me has been the solution. I have the Aslan Jaguar and the Spare Parts both super.

  • Strap-onless strap-ons
    • I love when my girlfriend ties me down and dominates me but we haven't given much thought to strap-ons. Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?
    • A starp-on harness is a good initial investment because it can be used with a variety of toys including strapless ones (if desired).
The strapless ones seem to be pretty good, though depending on who you talk to. The Share line and the feeldoe line seem to get good marks from most and present the best chance that they can be used completely without a harness. The Nexus line would probably be somewhat more difficult for the giver to hold inside without a harness. I think the harness option might be better for versatility, but the Share might represent an excellent choice for you and your girlfriend as well.

Personally, I would say no... just because they're harder to navigate. Certainly possible, and you can add a harness to get more stability while keeping the internal stimulation. There are also some harnesses that will hold a cock inside the wearer as well, so you have more options.
I'd agree with Jimbo that either the Share or Feeldoe is your best bet for doubles like this, the Nexus just doesn't cut it.
