Use

LELO is synonymous with luxury and this toy doesn't fall short in that department. Ella is a wonderful toy for any woman regardless of her skill level. Beginners will love her sleek, slim shape and the intense level of g-spot stimulation that's pretty unique. Ella is a great toy for discovering your g-spot or trying to practice female ejaculation techniques. Advanced users will highly appreciate the luxury that is LELO. She has two ends that are bound to please you no matter what you're into. The curved end provides the most amazing g-spot stimulation I've ever felt. The straight end is for a more classic dildo experience. This end can be used anally, but it's not generally considered an anal toy.

For g-spot simulation, Ella is a real winner. The flat end on the curve is able to provide a wider area for g-spot stimulation than toys with a pointed end. It provides full stimulation without being super bulky. The pointed end is very slim, smooth, and sleek. It's not so much of a filling toys as others out there. Ella really isn't designed to be a full thrusting toy. The pointed end can be inserted fully, but there's not much room left over to thrust in any way that would bruise the cervix.

Material / Texture

LELO makes some of the most amazing silicone I've had the pleasure of putting my hands on. It's very rigid, not too plush, but the neck is pretty flexible. It allows you to apply firm pressure to the g-spot and still have a little give to the toy. Silicone is amazing because it can be boiled if you wish to sterilize it. It's one of the safest materials out there, and is also highly durable. This toy comes with a one year manufacturer warranty and a 10 year quality guarantee. This toy is a worthwhile investment just because of that.

I don't usually get too excited about how toys smell, but something about this silicone made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It has a slight plastic smell, but it's actually a very pleasant one. I'm guessing that's what awesome would smell like.

Overall, Ella has a very velvety finish but not a whole lot of grab. With a little lube, the material has the most wonderful amount of glide. In my experience, additional lube wasn't even needed.

Design / Shape / Size

Ella is designed as a dual-ended dildo, but all of her magic is in her curved end. A lot of time g-spot toys have bulb or pointed end. Ella's g-spot stimulator is flat, which I found to be much more pleasurable than the other styles of toys. It's able to have contact with the entire g-spot instead of a small area which leads to higher levels of stimulation. Even though this end is pretty flat, it's actually very easy to insert. Ella is pretty slim in size, but she packs a major punch straight to your g-spot. The dildo is only 7" long and 1 1/4" in diameter at the largest part. (Honestly, I was expecting it to be a bit bigger.) Because of the shape of the dildo, the small, slim size actually works incredibly well.

I'm really in love with the design of this one. It looks extremely elegant and sophisticated. Even though the price of the dildo is pretty low, especially for a LELO toy, it really does look like a luxury toy. It almost doesn't look like a dildo. I could imagine this hanging out with some super high-end kitchen equipment. With that being said, yes, it's one of the more discreet dildos out there. It looks like something you can do pinpoint massage with. (I mean, g-spot massages, right?) It's not something I feel most people would raise an eyebrow at. The small size and included travel pouch make her the best travel companion you can imagine.

Performance

I love Ella for g-spot stimulation, but she kinda falls short when used with the straight end. I just consider this to be a g-spot toy instead of a dual-ended dildo. The design and shape are wonderful for exploring your g-spot and working yourself up to female ejaculation. This g-spot dildo is actually one of the most comfortable ones I've tried.

Ella is really lightweight which cuts down on wrist fatigue. The only problem with that is the difficulty of being able to thrust as much on the g-spot like you would with heavier or bulkier toys. I found Ella felt best when thrusting upwards instead of in and out. The only other problem I have with Ella is how slippery she can get with lube or natural lubrication during use. If you have any lube on your hands, it may be hard to get a good grip because of the pointed end and the slick material. If you're using lube, it's a good idea to have something to wipe it off with before getting yourself going with this toy.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is a major win in this department. To clean Ella, you can use some soap and water or toy cleaner. If you want to sterilize her, you can boil her for up to 10 minutes or throw her in the dishwasher. From my experience, the white silicone does not stain at all. This means that you don't have to worry about covering your toy or abstaining from use while bleeding or spotting. (At first, this was something I was worried about.)

Because this is a silicone toy, you want to make sure you only used water-based lubes. Silicone lubes can damage the material and leave it permanently tacky.

Ella comes with a wonderful thick satin storage pouch (with a little LELO tag on the side of it). The pouch is amazing for storage. Everything comes nestled in a lift-off box that is made of super thick, black cardboard and makes an excellent storage solution.

Packaging

I was incredibly blown away by how elegant LELO's packaging was. The box was a nice shiny white color with nothing but LELO in small letters on the front. The back of the box had an outline drawing of the dildo and a tiny bit of information. Inside this sleeve is a very sturdy two-piece lift-top box. Ella is nestled in a black, thick plastic insert. The presentation is priceless. Underneath the insert you'll find a couple of manuals and the storage pouch. This is one of the only toys I've seen that comes with such detailed instructions for care and use. There are a few little tips in the book that are really nice.

This box is perfect for gift-giving, especially if you want to take that special lady's breath away. It might as well be diamonds.

I feel like if Apple made sex toys, this would be one of them.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative
Follow-up commentary
Ella isn't something I find myself using as much as I thought I would. I got a Pure Wand, so Ella's magic is dwarfed a little by it. If you can't afford a Pure Wand, then this might be a good bet for you, but if you can, I'd say go with that instead. This is one of those things I'd take to travel with instead of carrying around a 1 1/2lb. hunk of steel. I still love having this as part of my collection though and I appreciate the wonderful luxury.

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

I'm glad Ella seems like such a successful toy! I hope she works for me, too <3

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
