The Translucence double dong is as fine an example of a double dildo you could own. It warms to the touch quickly, it has a comfortable feel and texture, and its versatility offers all sorts of scenarios. Careful though, it's one of the thicker double dongs on the market and may be more than some are prepared to handle. Use

The Translucence smooth double dong is a perfectly standard (though very thick) example of a double ended dildo. At 18 inches it's as tall as a Sequioa tree and only half as hard.

The length gives plenty to hold on to when using it with a partner or when doing some extra deep plunging. The girth may surprise owners of other double dildos as it is the thickest double I have ever seen. For the user seeking a thicker toy, this really hits the spot. The material has some give and offers a soft, full feeling.

This toy may be a bit much for a beginner but an experienced user should find it very satisfying. Since it is so visually impressive, this also makes for a swell gag gift.

Material / Texture

This dong is from the California Exotics jelly series of dildos. The jelly material is soft and flexible but is still firm enough to support an item of this length. The jelly is manufactured in such a way that the dildo will flex side to side but does not compress along its length. What you get is a dildo that can be bent double but can still stand straight up on its end.

Some customers have reported a strong "new tire" smell, or in later models a strong "fruity air freshener" smell. I detected a slight strawberry odor but it faded after a week or so.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is simple as far as dildos go. The main shaft is smooth and untextured while the heads taper down to a rounded point with a single ridge on each end. Again, this is a very large toy and is not suitable for covert actions. The length can make it ungainly in certain situations but on the whole it is a well designed, effective toy. There is a more realistic version with a veined shaft that owners tell me greatly increases the sensation during insertion. I recommend sticking to the smooth shaft variety when doing anal play though, the extra veins and ridges can make things uncomfortable.

    • So my partner and I have been looking into getting a feeldoe. Can anyone really tell me if they are worth the money? Are they hard to use or to learn to use? Thanks!
    • Here are my thoughts on the Feeldoe. We've had ours, a Feeldoe Slim, for a number of years now and in general like it.

      Some things to note: unless you have exceptional control it is not really a "harness free" dildo. We found it to be much more stable when it was in a harness, but that with that extra stability it worked great. It does provide some internal stimulation for the female wearer, and the vibes from the bullet carry nicely to the bulb end, but it only has one "on/off" setting. The Feeldoe is also not very soft as silicone toys go, still a good feel, and a nice weight for balance purposes.

      We've also found the bulb to be a nice handle of sorts for solo play.

      Is it worth it? I think we've probably gotten our money's worth out of it. I enjoy it, it's more interactive than your typical strapon, and it's a solid product that has lasted us over 5 years (and showing no real signs of wear).

      Still I'd be curious to try something like the: Share so I had a point of comparison. The design looks a little more developed than the Feeldoe.

      In either case, I think both would be probably best used with a harness. Other than that, they're not hard to use.
    • Boink pretty much said everything I could've said on the topic. I'd really like to try the Share at some point, because the internal part looks much easier to have a hold on. Either way, I'd recommend using it with a standard o-ring harness, just for better control. It's definitely quality, though, and it'll last for a long while.
