Love Rider Was a Flop for Us

This toy is worth a try. Exploring in the bedroom together allows my partner and I a chance to experiment and grow closer due to a higher level of trust. But that is exactly what this toy was, an experiment. We need to do more research!

Use

This toy is designed to be used as a harnessless strap-on. The shorter end can be inserted into the "top's" vagina, and used like a strap-on dildo, as a shareable toy for two women, or for a woman to use on a man. The longer end can be inserted into a vagina or used anally. I also used the Love Rider during a solo session, and kind of liked having the extra end on the toy to use as a makeshift handle. It turned out to be very handy!

The Love Rider has two ends and looks kind of like the letter "L" lying on it's side. The shorter end is the end for the thruster, and the longer end is for the receiver.

To use the Love Rider, insert the shorter end into the vagina to be held in place by squeezing the muscles on the vagina floor. This takes some practice because it does not feel natural. The next step is to use it on your partner as a dong should be used.

WARNING - you need to have AMAZING kegel muscles in order to keep this toy inside of you! It is heavy, and as a beginner with this toy, it was no fun for me or my partner the first two tries because we would get a good pace going and PLOP! out it fell.

Material / Texture

The soft silicone material that it is made of does not bruise as you use it for thrusting and feels great with a water-based lube. The texture is very smooth. It is fairly bendable so that you can manipulate it to fit inside you and still be usable on your partner. This toy does not have a smell.

Since the toy is made of silicone, it is completely able to be sanitized. It is non-porous and with proper cleaning between users, you can share this toy with multiple partners without worry.

The entire toy is one piece and only has one seam that runs the entire way around the toy but is very minimal, and does not get in the way of cleaning this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The Love Rider has two insertable ends. The shaft end used for thrusting is 8 inches long, and is more rounded at the tip. The end for the wearer is three and a half inches long and is kind of pointed like a tear drop and gets wider from the tip down.

I like the design on the shaft end, because it is an amazing dildo. The bulb end was harder to use because my kegel muscles, while fairly developed, still had a hard time keeping this toy inside. If it were a bit lighter, or the bulb were wider, it would have worked better for our experience. There is also a flat ridge on the top of the dong that was fairly unnoticeable while being used.

Again, the toy does not look realistic, which is a plus for us. My partner does not want a toy with veins or balls as she does not like the look of a real penis. This toy actually looks more like a futuristic gun rather than a dildo, but we keep it safely tucked away in our toy bag just in case we get curious friends.

Performance

When I told my fiance that I bought us a harnessless "shareable dildo" she was so excited. We had been looking at several different kinds and just had not gotten around to ordering one. I have been wanting a Feeldoe since I first learned about them a few years back.


The tip of the longer end is more round and feels great inside, but the vertical piece (or bulb) that is to be used on the wearer is thinner and more pointed. I wish that it were bigger around so that it would not slide out so easily. Perhaps if it were thicker on that end as it is on the dildo end it would be more of a success. The length was good for us, we did not have an issue with "going too deep" and hurting each other.


I love the way this smooth dong feels inside of me. It also brought my partner to orgasm when I used it on her, I just had to use it manually instead of inter-vaginally. We tried not using it with lube on the bulb end, we tried standing still and concentrating all of our attention and kegel strength to keep it in, we even began to compete to see who could do it longer. This toy turned our sex time into a competition and not in a good way. Let's say that it kind of killed the mood. It can be used with a harness for more stability, but that defeats the purpose of a strapless "strap-on" dildo

Care and Maintenance

We only ever use water-based lube since I have a sensitivity to certain products, and this is all that I suggest to use on this silicone toy. Using silicone based lube may cause your toy to deteriorate or warp.

We have put it in the dishwasher, and used toy wipes as well as antibacterial soap and warm water to clean it. Throwing it in the dishwasher is very easy maintenance if you live alone, or a fun surprise for your roommates!

We keep this toy in our toy bag (kind of like a duffel bag) inside of a ziplock (after it's dried thoroughly), since we do not want it to lose it's sterility in between uses.

Packaging

The Love Rider comes in a clear plastic box that is shaped for the toy. We discarded the packaging quickly since it is easier to store in a bag. There were no user instructions on the box, and my partner looked up videos after failing at being able to use it in it's intended manner.

Experience

My favorite position with this toy is on my tummy with my partner thrusting it manually from behind. My G-spot always gets more stimulation when I am on my tummy!
Follow-up commentary
Since my original review, I have tried to use the Love Rider with my partner a few more times. I just started a new salaried job, I have a lot less free time, and I am tired a lot more often during my free time. The Love Rider is hard to get a hang of, and often gets thrown back into the toy bag because we just want to get things started, and have a good time instead of getting frustrated.

It is there as a back-up toy just in case we get to using a few toys, and don't want to get up to clean anything until we are finished. I really wanted to use the toy more often since it was supposed to be a convenience toy, but it just isn't that way.

  • Pegging and the Love Rider
    • I'm wondering if anyone here has yet to try pegging (woman-on-top anal penetration with a man as the receiver) with this lovely toy, the Love Rider. I ask because my boyfriend and I have the Feeldoe, but are looking for something a little longer for him, and more importantly something that will stay inside me. I have strong Kegel muscles, but when things get slippery, the Feeldoe is just too heavy to hold on to in most positions, and requires a harness for me to use well without tiring too much.
