Lovely texture in a pretty, clear dildo

I know, I know, you're not supposed to get jelly toys, they're bad for you. I've personally never had issues with reactions, and I'm pretty sensitive down there, so I feel comfortable using them. This is actually my first dildo, - I usually go for vibrators - and I'm fairly pleased with my purchase. Provided you are also able to use jelly toys without reactions, I would recommend it. If you have reactions to jelly toys, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere.

Use

This is a realistically-shaped dildo for vaginal use only. It does not have a flare, bulge, balls, or any type of base, and is therefore not ideal for anal use; there is nothing to keep the dildo from sliding all the way in. However, I imagine that it may be difficult for this toy to go all the way in (for the average user), but better safe than sorry, yes?

I'm a fairly lazy person and prefer to let my toys do the work for me most of the time. This toy feels quite nice inserted with a vibrator used on my clit, and I actually noticed that it transferred the vibrations internally a little bit, which is always a pleasant surprise. Ideally, as this is a dildo, this would be used by thrusting it, but you can also flick the end that's not inserted, as it carries the motion nicely. You could also hold it inside of you and wiggle it around, and generally be creative with whatever gets you off best.

It's not a toy that you could use as a strap-on, as there's no way to secure it to a harness. Also, trying to attach it to something so that you can ride it seems like it would be more effort than it's worth, but I'm not one to discourage others from trying.

Harness issues aside, this would be nice to use on a partner, or to have a partner use on you. It'd even be nice to use in front of your partner. It's long enough that most of us won't be able to insert it all the way, leaving a couple of inches at the bottom to grip while thrusting.

Material / Texture

I'm a bit perplexed about the material, to be honest. The product page says that it's regular jelly, which is rated as a 2 on Eden's safety scale. However, the packaging says that it's Sil-A-Gel, which is a 5 on the material scale, and is an antibacterial PVC.

I'm going with the assumption that the packaging is correct over the page info - there are many different types of jelly, which this technically still is, albeit a slightly safer jelly. Sil-A-Gel is phthalate and latex free. It also has antibacterial properties, however, as I've seen for other reviews on this product, those who have issues with jelly toys may want to avoid this dildo to prevent unpleasant reactions.

Though the material has antibacterial properties, it is still porous and should not be shared unless covered with a condom. It should not be used anally due to the lack of a base of any sort, but if you do use it anally, use a condom on it then, as well. Like most jellies, this is a lint magnet, and it's recommended that you use a condom or rinse it promptly before use due to this.

This dildo does feel quite nice. It has a textured head and veins, and feels quite realistic in use. The soft material helps the texture to be pleasant rather than rigid and uncomfortable. It's pretty squishy and flexible, so those looking for a firm dildo will want to skip this option.

I haven't tasted the dildo yet, and I don't intend to. It does have a distinctive smell, so those with fragrance sensitivities will probably want to avoid this. The smell is most intense when you open the package, and is a chemical-rubber-plastic scent. I did not find the smell to be overwhelming, and I cannot smell it unless I'm handling the toy. After being out of the package, the smell fades a little, but not much. Washing it, both before and after using it, has not seemed to make a difference in the smell. While I was using it, it smelled like baby powder. It has not transferred its scent to my vagina, hands, bedding, or other toys, so there's a plus for that.

Design / Shape / Size

This has a nice, realistic design. I feel it worth noting that one side - the "front" of the cock - is textured, while the other side is smooth. It didn't make any difference to me during use, but some may prefer all-around texture. The shape and texture worked marvelously for me, and I greatly enjoyed using this dildo. For reasons I am unable to determine, there is a slight divot in the bottom of the toy. I can't figure out the purpose of that, as it's not deep enough to allow the dildo to be attached to anything.

I enjoyed the size, being a fan of girth. With a 5 1/4" circumference and 1 5/8" diameter, this is a pleasantly thick toy, and you feel every bit of it. When compared to my Pleasure bendie ridged G, the dildo is slightly thinner, yet feels larger when inserted. I found myself able to insert about 5-6" of the 7 3/4" length, leaving enough to grab onto and use to thrust. Though the texture will not be intimidating to beginners, the size may be, so measure your favorite toy (or guy) if you're not sure whether this will be of a good size for you.

As far as discretion goes, for appearance, no, it's not discreet at all. It's blatantly obvious that this is a dildo. It is more discreet in use than a vibrator, due to the lack of noise from the toy itself - I can't make any promises about whether you'll be quiet using it, as that's different for everyone.

I wouldn't recommend this for travel, due to the stickiness of the material and the amount of care it requires. I know I wouldn't want to be constantly cleaning my sex toys while traveling, and would prefer to bring something like glass that can be cleaned quickly with wipes.

Performance

This dildo performed quite well. I could thrust it, just hold it in, wobble the end sticking out, and generally vary my actions to stimulate myself. I find it mildly annoying that it grabs so much fiber, but this seems to be a consistent with jelly toys. It does well on its own or with an external vibrator, and it can transmit the vibrations pretty well, but not as well as glass does. This is a great toy for those who prefer a no-frills, basic dildo that gets the job done, as well as being a nice option for other users.

Care and Maintenance

I highly recommend washing this toy before and after every use, due to the high amount of debris that it picks up. It cleans very easily, and either soap and water, or toy cleaners can be used.

Make sure to store this dildo in something that will keep debris away from it. It's definitely not a discreet item, so those with kids or nosy roommates will want a good hiding spot. It would easily fit in a drawer, shoebox, etc., though the length may present an issue with smaller spaces.

Feel free to use either water or silicone based lubricants with this toy; just a little goes quite a way on this material, so not much will be needed.

Packaging

This comes in a clear plastic clam shell casing, which is embossed on the back with the company logo and recycling information. It could be used for storage, though some of us will feel that it is too bulky or awkward to use for storage.

A paper insert provides information about the product. On the front, the product line, name, size, and brand are featured, as well as the fact that the product is phthalate free and made in the US. The back adds selling points and the material information, and invites you to visit the company website, follow them on Twitter, and like them on Facebook. You will also find copyright info, the company's address, warranty and product registration, and a warning not to attempt to warm this product in a microwave or conventional oven.

Follow-up commentary
I don't use this as much anymore due to the facts that I've been getting tighter for no apparent reason and that I have more fun with my glass dildos. This dildo still gets a bit of use, but not nearly as much as it once did.

Thanks for a great review! I steer clear of jelly toys (or whatever this actually is), but they have their place. It's not easy to find a satisfying dildo for a low price, which makes it a shame that this is no longer available.
