Mark: my special friend

Mark is a very beautiful medium sized realistic looking toy that also has a realistic feel. The dual density silicone gives a yielding feel, but he also retains his shape without wobbling. The texture also gives a rather substantial internal feeling, so he feels bigger than he looks. Although the shape is not novel Mark is an extremely satisfying dildo.

Appearance

Mark is mostly realistic in shape but has beautiful smooth lines and mine was a vanilla ice cream colour, making him very attractive. All the detail of a penis is definitely there, but in rather soft lines, which makes the design a little more abstract. His head has a smooth slick appearance whereas the shaft and base are matte. The overall effect is sophisticated looking.

He is a medium sized dildo with a respectable insertable length of 5 ½ inches and girth of 1 3/8 inches. A flared base makes him safe for anal play (if you are accustomed to his size) and also makes him compatible to be used in a harness for strap-on play.

Mark comes packaged in a printed (non-pornographic) clear plastic box with a clamshell insert to hold him upright.

Material and Texture

Tantus has made Mark out of their O2 silicone, which means that it is a dual density pure silicone product which is designed to feel more like a real penis. Because it is still silicone, it compares favourably to many other ‘realistic feel’ materials by virtue of its non-porous nature, which makes cleaning the toy very effective. When held in the hand Mark has a soft almost moist feeling. The parts of the toy where the denser silicone is evident are the base and the upper side of Mark’s shaft, The upper side of the shaft still is still covered by a thin layer of the softer silicone. The result is that Mark is able to be held horizontally without drooping, which would make it great for use in a strap-on. Mark feels most realistic after having been warmed with warm running water for a while. As far as texture goes it definitely feels more like a penis than a regular silicone dildo does. When it is inserted Mark seems to have a lot more drag than a penis, however. The head of Mark is extremely soft and malleable and is far smoother than the shaft, which probably aids insertion. In my opinion the most important difference to regular silicone is that this material feels far more pleasant when my muscles contract around it. I often found that contracting my muscles around a very firm dildo is rather uncomfortable, but with Mark it feels delicious. That is exactly what I wanted for my masturbation sessions.

Softer silicones are more prone to damage by sharp objects tearing at them, so I would be very careful. I have left small non permanent marks in Marks head with my fingernail.

Care and Cleaning

Mark should be used with a water based lubricant, as he creates a lot of drag during insertion. However a silicone lubricant will react with the toy because the different densities of silicone mix together to form a gooey mess, so absolutely make sure you don’t use one of those on this toy.

He can be easily cleaned with soap and water. He can also be boiled to sterilise him, or wiped him down with a 10% bleach solution (being sure to rinse him afterwards). I would only choose a boiling or bleaching method if sharing or switching between anal and vaginal use. Otherwise use a condom when sharing or using anally.

The O2 material is a bit of a lint attractor. You can store Mark in the clear clamshell package provided to keep the lint off or even a snap-seal plastic bag. This might also be advisable if you have other silicone toys, as theoretically silicone toys can meld together if stored in direct contact with each other. There are no specific instructions included on the storage of Mark. He can presumably be balanced standing straight up on the base or laying down.
Experience
A couple of years ago I wouldn’t consider a realistic dildo at all, but with the fabulous reviews of the dual-density dildos I started to really want one. The eroticism of a realistic looking toy really grew on me too. I decided that Mark seemed the closest in size and shape to what I desired. Mark actually feels bigger than he looks (which is a good thing). I was considering getting the O2 revolution for an extremely full feeling, but I’m glad I settled on this one. It fills me just the right amount.

While Mark is comfortable to thrust, I find myself inserting it and leaving it there, while putting my hands to use with a clitoral vibe. I also enjoy using Mark with my Njoy pure plug (small). I like using very slow and shallow thrusting with Mark at the same time as the plug is inserted. I find it almost seems to push Mark into my G spot and I enjoy leaving Mark nestled gently yet firmly into it.

As this is a realistic toy using a bedside storage box or similar would be a particularly smart move for anyone with a need for discretion.
