Use

The L'amour is a double ended dildo that is meant to be used by male and female, as well as same sex couples. It's designed so that the giver can "wear" the toy while performing via the bulbed end, while the receiver experiences the "beaded" shaft of the other end through thrusting. This toy can also be used solo, as you can use the bulbed end as a handle for simple and easy guidance into your body. By using your kegel muscles, you can attempt to hold this toy in whilst thrusting into your partner. If your anatomy allows, use this toy in a harness that has a hole through the front pubic area, such as the Aslan Minx or Jaguar harnesses, to keep this toy from slipping out during vigorous use.

The L'amour can be used anywhere at anytime when the occasion strikes you. That means you can take the L'amour in the bath, the shower, the bedroom or the pool. It's a versatile toy that has many different ways of being used.

Material / Texture

The L'amour is made from 100% silicone. This means that there won't be any unwanted smells, tastes, or bacteria associated with the toy. Silicone is non-porous, hypoallergenic and phthalate- and latex-free. This means that your body will not react in any odd way towards this material, and it also means you can sanitize this toy between uses. No need to worry about anything terrible being harbored within the pores of the toy. Silicone rates a 10/10 on the Eden's safety scale, and makes this one of the superior materials you want to have in your toy collection next to glass and steel.

The silicone of the L'amour is matte and feels almost velvety to the touch. There is a seam all the way around the toy, but this cannot be felt during use as it's very smooth and will not inhibit your movement. This toy is also very firm, but lightweight as it needs to be firm for your kegels to grip onto the bulb with more ease, and the firmness allows for it to be thrust more easily. The matte finish has a lot of drag, and while it's not as much of a lint magnet as some other silicone toys, it still gathers enough that it will need to be cleaned before and after every use. This will keep the toy in top condition.

The texture on the L'amour is bumpy, like that of anal beads, so this toy isn't meant to feel realistic, but rather enjoyed for it's texture. This texture may be too much for beginners in anal, however, the size of the beaded end is just average enough that it's not too intimidating, and will ease in with the proper amount of water-based lubricant.

Design / Shape / Size

Like many other double dildos of the same style, the L'amour is shaped like an 'L'. It is angled so that the dildo can be worn by the insertable bulb and easily thrusted into the user's partner on the receiving end. This design would work well for smaller framed anatomies, and for people who are looking for something a bit different to realistically styled double dildos. The beaded end of the L'amour is perfect for anal play, as it creates the same popping sensation as beads or 'bubbled' toys would. Due to it's rigidity and size, this toy can be perfect for stimulating the prostate in men.

If you don't wish to wear this toy, the bulbed end makes for a great handle for self-pleasuring as well as holding onto it when this toy is lubed up. Because of the matte finish of the silicone, you may require a bit more lube to lessen the drag, so remember to find a long-lasting water-based lubricant for playtime! As stated, the L'amour doesn't have a realistic shape, but is anything but discreet. If you were to travel with the L'amour, or leave it out, anyone who saw it would know what it is used for. This might makes things a bit more embarrassing, so it's best to leave this toy behind when traveling if you're easily embarrassed.

L'amour's size is not ideal to my anatomy, and came up short once I had the bulb inserted inside of me. However, because I'm on the larger size, I can't say that this will be the result of all bodies as everyone is differently shaped and sized. Once inserted, I was left with only about 2" of the beaded end to work with poking from my pubic mound, so using the bulbed end as a handle worked best for me. Average users shouldn't have any issues with the size of L'amour, and because the beaded end isn't large or intimidating, it would be good enough for beginners of anal play when lubed up properly. The bulbed end is slightly large, so the wearer of the L'amour should be a little more advanced.

Performance

The L'amour is a double dildo meant to provide stimulation to both parties while in use. It's intended purpose is to provide hands-free fun while being able to provide and receive pleasure from your partner during thrusting. The bulbed end rests comfortably inside of the vaginal walls while the beaded end extends out for use of penetrating your male or female partner. The beaded end provides excellent vaginal or anal stimulation and if maneuvered properly, provides g-spot and p-spot stimulation. The contributing factor of length may be a problem for some anatomies, so if you're on the heavier side, or you have a bit of a tummy roll or large pubic mound, this toy may not fit your body correctly.

While not being able to fit all anatomies, this toy provides wonderful stimulation when thrusting. The beaded end 'pops' in and out as you thrust, and can be manipulated to curve toward the g-spot or p-spot in skilled hands. The bulbed end provides the perfect handle for this type of play, so if you'd like to use it that way, you can. The downside to L'amour is that it does not work in a harness, so if you cannot hold it in with your kegel muscles, you're more than likely going to be using this toy by hand. The toy was simply too short to reach out of the harness for my anatomy (I used the Aslan Minx harness to test), but that doesn't mean that it won't work for you.

Overall the toy is relatively comfortable to "wear" and to use.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is easy to take care of and is guaranteed to last a lifetime if cared for properly. Because it is non-porous, silicone can be shared between partners, but always remember to clean it before switching from anal to vaginal penetration. To clean silicone, you can use a mild soap and water, a toy cleaner, pop it into the dishwasher (without detergent, top rack only), rinse with a 10% bleach, 90% water solution, or simply boil the toy in a pot for up to three minutes in order to disinfect it. All of these options are available to clean your toy without the fear of bacteria latching on and growing as other porous toys would. If you're still worried about bacteria, just slip a condom onto the toy.

If you decide on boiling this toy, don't let it touch the sides or the bottom of the pan or pot you're cleaning it in, and remember to use caution when removing it from the hot water so that you don't burn yourself. Silicone retains heat, so use caution when you're cleaning your silicone in hotter than average temperatures. Allow your toy to air dry, as wiping it down with a towel or cloth could result in leaving lint or particles behind on the surface. Silicone is a lint magnet, so you'll want to rinse your toy before and after every use. With a little love and care, your toy can last a lifetime.

Water-based lubricants are the only lubricants you should use with this toy, however, if you'd like, you can test a spot of silicone lubricant on it. Simply place a dot of silicone lubricant in an inconspicuous spot, rub it in, and allow it to sit for a few minutes. If the spot gets tacky or gummy, remove the lubricant immediately and wash the toy with soap and water. If there is a film left behind, you should be able to scrape the residue off with your fingernail. Do not use a sharp object to scrape any residues off as silicone is very easily cut.

To store your toy, you can use the clam shell packaging the toy arrives in, or you can simply store it in a cool, dry place like a sock drawer. You can also store silicone toys together, as they wouldn't have an adverse reaction, but do not store your toy with other materials such as TPR, Jelly, Rubber, etc. as they can melt or discolor when stored together. If you're unsure about the quality of the materials of any toy, do not store them together. You can also keep toys in separate Ziploc bags.

Packaging

Packaging for this toy is minimal. It comes in a clam-shell package that pops open easily. There is a paper insert stating small details about the toy, such as the length and that it's for use with a partner. The packaging can house the toy inside, or can be recycled by your choosing. The clam-shell packaging is not discreet, as it houses the toy in clear view for all to see, but can be good for storage if you want to keep off dust and lint.

As far as instructions, there was only a photo on the back of the packaging showing an illustration of how to use the toy, but it was in no way helpful or informative. However, use of this toy is pretty self-explanatory. If you're wanting to gift this toy, and want to be discreet about it, simply buy a nice gift bag to put it in.

Personal comments

This toy all boils down to body type. You'll have to decide for yourself whether you think this toy will work for you or not. My body type is on the larger side, and this toy didn't work for its intended purpose. However, that doesn't mean that it won't work for you. Everyone is different and anatomies all vary from person to person. Putting aside the fact that this toy didn't work in the intended way, this toy still worked great when using the bulbed end as a handle. The texture felt amazing when thrusting the beaded end in and out.
Follow-up commentary
Let me clarify: I still like this not for the intended purpose of it being a strapless strap-on, but for the textures of the end for the receiver. They feel amazing if you're a fan of texture. While I don't use this toy for every session, it does help that it's there to pull out of the toy chest in a time where I need that extra little bit of sensation.

Explaining all the different ways to use & adjust the dildo for better fit & sensations is great. I'm sure that will help a lot of readers.

I'm not into anal play, but once again, my curiosity is piqued.
