Mono - realistic vibrator discontinued by NMC Ltd - review by PassionQT

I'm used to some big toys, so when I received the MONO by NMC LTD, I was surprised at how dainty of a realistic vibrator it actually is. It probably won't even be filling enough to the average woman, unless that's exactly what she was shopping for. It doesn't do all that much other than vibrate gently and is roughly the size of the average penis. Had there been a person attached to this toy, complete with a skilled tongue and agile hands, I would have had no problems climaxing. For solo play, it could be fun if gentle vibrations are enough to get you off. This one is for the cootchie, not for anal play, as there's no flared base; however if you do venture back there, just be careful!

MATERIAL
The short handle/control knob is made of plastic, while the sleeve is made of a phthalate-free PVC, which is shiny and semi-soft. It reminds me of rubber, but it's much safer and less porous than that. It's also hypoallergenic, durable, and compatible with either a silicone or water-based lubricant. It has a lot of drag and attracts a lot of hair & lint. The surface texture looks like skin, with some slightly raised veins which don't provide any extra sensation during use. The detailed head will probably be the most noticeable sensory feature (other than the vibrations), as it's inserted. Hardly and smell or taste was noted.

SIZE & DESIGN
The size of this toy leaves something to be desired. For a first vibrator, it might be a good choice, but it's not very thick, which personally makes a big difference to me. The 5-1/4 inch insertable length is average, perhaps a wee bit short by the time it's inserted, since there really isn't much of a handle to hold on to other than a round sphere. The realism is nicely done, with soft lines and a small mushroom head that slides in nicely. There's some coloring on the head. The shaft is semi-flexible, but it will not hold a flexed position. It just makes it easier to insert and less stiff during use.

FUNCTIONS
One AA battery powers the Mono, which would account for the less-than-earth shaking vibrations; these are just so-so but are very quiet. Power is activated very easily, but twisting the lower half of the handle counterclockwise. The speed goes from low to high very quickly, so it must be adjusted very slowly to maintain the right speed. As gentle as this is, I'd just crank it up to high each and every time, since low is barely a tremble. If discretion is a necessity, it's very quiet, and can barely be heard under the covers, with the door wide open.

CLEANING
This can be used with both silicone and water-based lubricant. It is waterproof and will withstand being fully immersed under a shower or running water during cleaning. Just use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean then air dry.

I thought is was just ok. I tried to climax with it, but the vibrations, although nice & steady, weren't strong enough for me.

Another bites the dust....I wish I had saved it for a friend of mine, maybe she would have gotten more pleasure out of it than I had. It's just too small and not strong enough for my tastes.
