Mr. Softee

Overall, this toy is okay but not something I would probably use a lot. Hopefully the smell gets less noticeable because it kills this toy for me. The vibrations are not really strong. I like the feeling of the toy, its softness, but I wouldn't say this is my favorite.

Use

This vibrator seemed to be designed for more internal use. It doesn't have clitoral stimulation at all. I would say based on the size of this, it is for advanced users. You can use this toy for solo play or with a partner but not anal because it doesn't have a base. And if you decide to take the chance anyway, there definitely should be a condom present.

Material / Texture

The Mr. Softee is made from rubber. It is actually very soft to touch, but firm and flexible. It can swing side to side without manipulation, if that helps with the ideal of how flexible it is. The toy lives up to its name. The Mr. Softee smells a lot; the scent is worse than jelly. Once you open the package you can smell it. It kinda smells like they tried to make a pleasant scent, but epically failed. The smell kind of made me feel nauseated a little because it has a similar smell to pepto bismal or some kind of medicine, which I don't like at all. I washed the Vibro three times and managed to get the scent to disappear a little. The toy was a little sticky when I first took it out of the packaging. I think it was mainly because of the summer heat so I just let it sit for a while and the stickiness went away.

Design / Shape / Size

I would say this toy was made for more advanced users than beginners. The dimensions are 6" circumference, 2" diameter, and a 6" insertable length. The toy is shaped to resemble a realistic penis with veins. The veins were not an issue for me, I don't feel like it is too much texture because without looking at the toy you couldn't tell that they were even present. Unlike most toys, the tip of this toy isn't smaller than the rest of the toy; it is the same size. So if you were looking for something that gradually gets bigger then this isn't it. Because the head is big, it would be good for g-spot stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Mr. Softee is controlled by a dial controller that is located on a control pack. The actual toy has about a two feet wire that has an end similar to head phones, which you actually hook into the control pack. The control pack is made of non-expensive plastic which holds two AA batteries. There is a little dial that lets you control the intensity of the vibration by turning it from low to high. There is a light indicator that becomes brighter and dimmer depending on the speed you have it on.

The vibrations seem to be located mostly right below the head of the toy, which makes this toy more for internal use. So if you need clitoral stimulation too you should get a small bullet or something for that. I wouldn't say the vibration are 4 vrooms either. It has moderate vibrations, but nothing that is really strong in my opinion.

The noise level on this toy is definitely not a one. It's more like a three because as you adjust the vibrations, you are also adjusting the sound. It is almost like the dial control also stands for the sound level for the toy. I actually did a sound test and could not hear the vibrator through the door. But my walls aren't thin, so if you have thin walls or you have a roommate they would definitely hear this toy. It has a similar sound to an electric razor or clippers. Of course the Mr. Softee is not waterproof because it is a wired toy.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made of rubber so any lubricant would be okay for use. And I do recommend you use lube. I personally use water-based lubricant with this toy. I washed the toy with water and soap, just make sure to avoid putting water toward the bottom because where the cord is attached there is a little hole and avoid putting the cord around water. For storage I would recommend a cool place because the toy can melt a little, which will cause the toy to be sticky and the color to go on things.

Packaging

The Mr. Softee comes in a plain plastic packaging with a sticker on the front stating the product name. There is a white cardboard backing with the company Doc Johnson name on it and no directions or anything included. When I popped open the package, the toy actually left pink residue probably from the summer heat.

Great review! sorry about the smell. I've only had that problem with one toy. It was a dong by the same company, but it was a while back. Try leaving it outside in the sunlight for a while after bathing it in water and two drops of tea tree oil. It will be fixed in no time!

Sil-a-gel has an awful habit of smelling ridiculously fruity or rubbery. It does fade over time, though, so hopefully that'll work. It does kinda turn me more towards not getting this one now.. Good review, thank you!
