This was my first vibrator and I have to say that I was quite pleased with it. Its variable speed dial allowed me to get the juices flowing on a mild low speed and change it up as I desired. No matter how sensitive your clit is, this feature is great to have. When I first turned it on the low speed it was very quiet. But as the speed goes up so does the sound. If under the covers or behind a closed door, the sound is muffled mostly. It just sounds like a small machine is running. However, sometimes the batteries jumble around, depending on the speed, and the noise level goes up. It's kind of distracting and takes a little bit of the fun out of it, but it can be managed by lightly tapping it or changing the holding position. I find that the two C batteries required last me for about 3 months if I don't use it on a frequent basis. However, if I'm using it more than 2 or 3 times a week I probably have to change batteries after a month and a half or so.

It is a pretty solid product and if dropped it won't break. When I first opened the package it had that “new plastic” smell, but that quickly went away as it was left out of the package. I mostly used it by myself; times where I needed a quick fix to the sex I wasn't getting and just using it out of sheer boredom and I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time than masturbating. Since it's not safe to use any silicone based products with it because of the sleeve, I use the basic soap, water and wash cloth for cleaning after every use. I also keep it in a special box in the drawer just to help keep it clean and away from anything else that may contaminate it. For my fist vibrator, it's an excellent start and always reliable when I need a great orgasm. I would gladly recommend this to anyone.
