Icicles No. 17 is one of the glass toys in Pipedream's Icicles line. This glass dildo is excellent for vaginal penetration and stimulation as well as teasing the clitoris, nipples and some other areas as well.

The No. 17 is made out of 100% pyrex glass which is a 10 on the safety scale. This material is strong and doesn't break easily. Glass is a great material for many reasons, but extra care must be taken so as not to bruise the cervix. Glass is very unforgiving, unlike some materials like silicone or jelly. Glass is a great material otherwise, and has some major benefits.

You can sterilize glass, so it can be shared without a condom as long as it's sterilized between partners. You can use temperature play with glass dildos like this one, by simply placing the toy in a bowl of hot or cold water for a few minutes. There isn't any taste or smell to this toy, which is great for those who do not like toys that have any smell to them. Taste can also be distracting if you are orally playing with this toy. Just be sure to never stick this toy in the microwave or freezer, as you will do damage to the material and cause it to become brittle or crack.

17 has a round head which is just over 5 1/4" inches in circumference. It is 1.5" of the length of the toy and is clear with a yellow flower in the center. The shaft and base are indigo blue and the shaft is slightly curved. The shaft is 7" long total and the base is 1/4" thick. If you measure the toy from base to the tip of the bulb on the end, you will find that it reads 8.5". This is because of the curve that it comes up slightly short. 8" out of the 8.5 is insertable, and this toy is safe for anal play as well because it has a flared base. The shape of the base also allows for the toy to be harness compatible with some harnesses.

The bulb is nice for teasing the nipples and clitoris. The slight curve allows for an additional sensation, though there isn't any texture to the toy. Because there isn't the texture, those who enjoy a lot of texture may not like this toy as much as those who don't like it, or who are new to glass and want to start off slow.

Icicles No. 17 is best for vaginal penetration and works well for internal stimulation. You can use this with vibrating toys, including placing a vibrating love ring over the toy so that the glass vibrates. This holds the temperatures well, so hot and cold play is a lot of fun and really adds something to the toy, since it is lacking the texture.

You'll want to use all of the same care and caution you would use with any other glass toy, to care for your Icicles No. 17. During play, you'll be safe using any type of oil, water or silicone based lubricants. To clean, simply use any toy cleaner, toy wipes, water and antibacterial soap or rubbing alcohol. To sterilize the toy for sharing or to keep it more clean for yourself, you may boil it for a few minutes or place it in a 10% bleach solution for a few minutes.

After cleaning, dry the toy off and store either in its original box or in a padded pouch for safest method of storage. This will prevent the toy from breaking and keeps it safe. You may also display the toy if you are in a household where discretion is not an issue.

Before each use, you should always check all glass toys to make sure that there are no cracks, chips or damages to the toy. Any cracks in glass toys could not only cause the toy itself to be unsafe, but also allows the cracks to harbor bacteria! Any glass toy that is not in good order should be thrown away or used for decoration only.

Icicles No. 17 arrived inside of a very nice box, as all of the toys in the Icicles line do. The boxes always represent the toys, simple and yet very elegant. The box is just as nice as the toy! The front shows the toy, inside of the magnetic flap is information that is also found on the back of the box. This just gives brief information on glass toys in general. Company information can be found on the bottom of the box.

Once you open the magnetic flap you will see your No. 17 behind a clear plastic covering. You open the bottom flap to pull the toy out. It is inside of a foam cutout insert, which keeps your toy padded and safe inside of the box.

All-in-all, the box and foam provide safe shipping for the toy and great storage as well! The box is only 10" tall and 4" wide, so it is not difficult to store.

This toy is more decorative for me than anything else. I do enjoy the shape and size, but I prefer more texture with glass toys. I knew this when I purchased the toy, but also loved the way that it looked. I planned to collect all of the Icicles toys, and I thought that 17 was beautiful! I needed this in my collection.

I do enjoy using this for hot play, as well as teasing my clitoris.
