My new favorite gem!

Use

This was my first glass toy, and I was blown away! I am totally in love with this toy. The amethyst can be used for vaginal or anal play. The curved end is amazing for g-spot (p-spot) action. The bulbed end can be used as a regular dildo. The balls feel amazing anally. I would recommend you go easy at first, as glass is a lot harder than your usual toy and you can bruise yourself easily with it.

If you are looking for your first glass toy but are afraid of the high prices, this gem is the one for you! If you love getting that perfect g-spot orgasm, or have trouble finding it or getting off that way, you absolutely have got to try the amethyst!

Material / Texture

The amethyst is made of glass and comes in a nice blue and a gorgeous deep purple. It has no smell or taste, and is hard and oh so smooth. Glass is very intense and may not be for everyone, but the slender make of this gem is very lovely, making it the perfect toy for glass beginners and pros alike.

Design / Shape / Size

The design for this toy couldn't be better. The shape is great. It is bulbed at one end for sensation and curved at the other for the perfect g-spot or p-spot action every time! The size is decent. The g-spot end is the perfect size. The bulbed end is the perfect size for anal play, but as a dildo for use in the vagina it could have been wider and longer, in my opinion.

The best feature of the amethyst is the way it gives the perfect g-spot action. It performed for me perfectly and will be used often in my household!

Care and Maintenance

The amethyst is so easy to care for! You can use any lube with glass toys, but I find the Maximus lube on this site works best for me. To clean you can boil it for sterilization, or just clean it with soap and water. And to store it, just slip it in the little pouch it comes with to protect from scratches. If you want a little more protection for it, you can make little padded pouches easily.

Packaging

The amethyst kind of lacks in the packaging department. It came to me in nothing but a velvet pouch. I sterilized it before I ever used it and washed the pouch. It did not come with instructions, but I didn't need any. And the pouch it comes in is to store it in, as well.

      I heard that somepeople find that it drags or almost sticks at times, becoming painfull after a few thrusts. I never had thsi problem but I hear it alot lately.
    • In my own experience, some water-based lubes do dry suspiciously fast on glass and leave something of a residue that occasionally got sticky, but I've never had it become painful. I haven't used lube with my glass since moving on to glycerin-free lubes, though, and I know glycerin is often the culprit with stickiness.

      I'll have to try again and see how my Sliquid fares with it. Silicone lube will probably work out better, too.

  • Amethyst Still Out of Stock?
    • I noticed this has been out of stock for a long while, or is it just me? I really want to pick this one up, does anyone know when it might be back if ever? I'm not too fond of the others due to them being pink (unless Eden carried the cobalt bent graduate, which I would pick up).

      Anyone have any word on when this will be back?
