Use

The Fun Factory Curve is an ergonomically designed silicone dildo of a relatively hefty size meant for thrusting and targeting the g-spot without wearing out your hand. I found it to be very effective once I found the most comfortable way to hold the uniquely shaped handle.

If you are new to toys, I suggest using the actual size function to take a look at it, because it is bigger than other options, such as the less intimidating -- and excellent -- Lelo Ella.

Material / Texture

The Curve is made of soft silicone, and it gives the impression that it's going to prove too floppy to use when you're first handling it, but once in use, it's firm enough to really get the job done. The texture is a pleasing mix of shiny smooth and satiny, and being silicone, it doesn't possess a noticeable smell of any kind.

Design / Shape / Size

Some reviewers found the Curve to be perfect in the hands of a partner, yet useless for solo play, while other reviewers found the opposite. I've come to believe that when reviews contradict each other so specifically, it means that to get the most out of the toy in question, a buyer needs to experiment a little to find the best angle and position for the type of use they desire.

I found the shape to be ideal for thrusting, and the curved handle made it possible to establish a rhythm at a fairly energetic pace without aggravating my carpal tunnel at all, even with extended play.

As far as discretion, it's a phallic shape, so while it's not quite realistic, it's pretty clearly supposed to resemble a penis. You'll need to keep this one under lock and key if you have nosy people in your life. It passes any sound tests, however, because it doesn't vibrate.

Performance

I'm pretty much in love with the Curve. I'd definitely bring it along to the proverbial desert island, and it's one of my favorite toys. I have a number of very nice toys, but this one wins hands down when it comes to thrusting. The size is very filling, and it rubs delightfully against the g-spot.

The handle was quite comfortable for me, but I can see how it might not work for everyone. I have small hands, and it took a few minutes of experimenting to decide how best to hold it. Whether my choice would be the same as someone else's, I don't know, but I found it quite comfortable with my thumb through the loop. If you buy this toy (or any toy, for that matter) I recommend that you take the time to explore your options. In my experience, most toys are more rewarding on the third or fourth use than they were on their maiden voyage.

I definitely recommend the Curve to anyone who enjoys firm g-spot stimulation and feels that the size is appropriate for their body.

Care and Maintenance

The Curve can be boiled if you need to sterilize it, and otherwise can be washed in warm water and mild soap, or with toy cleaner. It fits comfortably in a small cosmetics bag that I found at a fair trade store. As for lube, it definitely requires a water based lubricant. Never use a silicone lube with a silicone toy. The chemicals that keep the silicone lube in a liquid state will try to do the same to the toy -- this clearly is bad for the toys.

Packaging

Fun Factory toys come in clever little boxes with see-through windows and a magnetic flap on the front, making them a little too nice to throw away, yet slightly less discreet than the packaging from Lelo or JeJoue. At the moment, I'm using the box to store batteries, but I haven't decided its ultimate fate. It's blissfully free of smiling half-naked models, so it's not causing me any particular grief. (Not that I mind half naked models per se, I just prefer them in other more appropriate venues, and not in my recycling bin or my sock drawer.)
Follow-up commentary
Nothing has changed my love for the Curve. I have to be careful to use it with the stereo playing and the door locked, because instead of worrying about buzzing noises I have to worry about my own Freudian slips, but it's still a permanent fixture among my select favorites. The Curve and the Lelo Ella remain my two most effective g-spot toys.

  • Is it possible to dye silicone?
    • So... I mostly know the answer to this before I even ask it, because silicone is non-porous. But is there any way to take a pink or purple dildo and make it a tolerable color?

I really like the shape, and design (and I expect I would like the firmness) of the FF Curve. But it only comes in pink and purple. And those colors don't turn me on.

Is there anything I could do to make one of these Curves look blue? Or would i have to make a mold with a Clone-A-Willy Kit and cast my own?

      I don't think it's possible, sorry!
