Not Exactly Alluring, But It's Nice!

This toy is very good for targeting the G-spot and delivering textured sensations. It is easy to hold and use, and it is inexpensive. I like how this toy works, I really do. However, I just find it very unpleasant to look at. If you think it's pretty, then you should go for it. It is a good dildo that offers something new.

Use

The Pink Allure is a textured G-spot dildo made to provide differing sensations to the woman's G-spot. It can be used anally, but do so at your own risk because it does not have a flared base. This toy is probably better for the more experienced or the more adventurous because it is made of glass and is rather textured. Glass can be unforgiving in the body (use with caution so as not to bruise the cervix), and the textures can be really intense. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to a newbie who was on the nervous side about toys and/or G-spot stimulation. The Pink Allure is waterproof, so you can take your fun to the pool or bath. Glass is an excellent material for temperature play, too.

Material / Texture

The Pink Allure is made of borosilicate glass, which is the same material as Pyrex dishes. Borosilicate glass is a very safe and hygienic material. It is non-porous, phthalate-free, latex-free, and hypoallergenic. It rates a ten on Eden's material safety scale. It is designed to withstand high and low temperatures and to not break. If it does break, it will do so in large chunks instead of shattering. Always inspect your glass toys before use to make sure there are no chips or cracks, and do not use if you discover any. If you receive a glass toy that is defective, then send it back for a replacement.

Glass is odorless and has no taste. It is very hard and rigid, and has absolutely no give to it. Glass is generally completely smooth, but can be made to have texture. This particular toy has some texture to it, which I will explain in a moment. Glass can be cooled off in the refrigerator or heated in warm water before use. Make sure to not insert anything that is too hot, and to not use a toy if it is frosty. You don't want to burn yourself or have anything stick to your skin.

The Pink Allure is not at all realistic, but it is clearly a dildo. I would not say it is discreet.

Design / Shape / Size

I'll be honest; I did not like the look of this toy when I first saw it. I actually find it very unattractive. It seemed narrow, and the textures were weird looking. That being said, I decided to try it out because I wanted to experiment more with textured glass. The product picture showed a clear glass dildo with red colored swirls and dots. (Why they call it the Pink Allure is beyond me.) However, glass toys that are hand blown can vary in color, and I was a bit disappointed with the toy I received. None of the swirls or dots are actually red. They are just light pink, and some of them are completely clear. The pinkness varies, so the swirls have some parts that are darker and some that are very light. I thought the toy was unattractive to begin with, but the one I received was even less attractive.

Putting the color issue aside, the Pink Allure is a smaller (in girth) dildo that has a slight curve to it. The whole toy is curved, it doesn't just curve at one end. Both ends are rounded, but don't have any bulbous features to them. They are just as narrow as the rest of the toy. One end has a little less than two inches of swirls, and the other end has about an inch and a half of dots. I measured the piece and found its entire length to be approximately seven and a half inches, and for it to be just over three inches around.

Performance

I didn't like the look to begin with, and the one I received I liked even less. But I wanted to give this one a try because those dots looked like they might do some (good) damage. I was pleased; very pleased, that is. The curve of this toy is great. It isn't overbearing, but it really hits the spot. I loved the dots, too. Slick, cool dots quickly turned into warm bumps of pleasure. The length was great. I had plenty of the toy to hold on to while having what I needed inserted. When I was finished with the dots, I tried the swirls. I didn't like the swirls as much, but they were still interesting. All in all, I can report that the textures on this toy can definitely be felt and do add to the experience. It doesn't have a lot of girth to it, but if you are just targeting your G-spot and want to put a little texture into the mix, I think this is a good toy.

Care and Maintenance

Glass is very easy to care for. I wash my glass toys with soap and water and dry with a regular towel, but you can also boil them for 3-5 minutes, wipe down with a 10% bleach solution, wash in the dishwasher on the top rack with no soap, or just clean with a toy wipe/spray. Glass is compatible with oil-based, silicone-based, and water-based lubricants. I recommend storing it in some sort of bag to prevent it from knocking up against something and getting scratched.

Packaging

The Pink Allure is made by SSA Glass, and as such comes wrapped in bubble wrap in a very pathetic bag. It is a red velvet bag with absolutely no padding. It doesn't even close. I keep my glass toys in my nightstand drawer, so this bag works okay for me. As long as I have something surrounding the toy then I'm fine. I don't think it's very good storage, though.

Personal comments

I wasn't sure what I wanted to rate this toy, as I have such mixed feeling about it. I think it is just horribly ugly, but I really liked how it performed. Looks aside, the dildo alone is great. But when I factored in the packaging and look, I dropped it down a little. Opinions vary, and that is mine.
