Not Feeling Jollie

The Jollie is a uniquely shaped dildo that is designed for solo play. It has a special arm for clitoral stimulation that has a hole for a bullet, though there isn't a bullet included. This is a toy that people who enjoy larger diameter toys will most likely enjoy the size of, while those who don't may find it's size as a bit of a challenge.

Use

The Jollie is a silicone dildo that is best used in solo play. It is not designed for thrusting, so a partner couldn't really participate in the use of this toy. The best way to use Jollie is to fully insert it and either ride it or lay on your back and move your hips to gently move the dildo for subtle stimulation. This really works best with a bullet inserted into the ring so that there is also stimulation of the clitoris. The silicone is pretty firm and can feel uncomfortable against the cervix, but since it is not a thrusting toy is unlikely to cause bruising. Make sure you are warmed up for the large girth of this dildo.

Material / Texture

The Jollie is made of 100% silicone that is mostly smooth. This silicone is pretty firm with very little give. There is a large bulge about half way down the shaft of the toy and a subtle line to simulate the head of a penis. The bullet arm has horizontal lines running up the length of it on the side that would be facing your clitoris. There is a seam that runs right down the middle of the toy all the way around. It can be felt if you run your fingers across it but isn't noticeable during penetration.

There is no odor or taste to this non-porous material.

Design / Shape / Size

The insertable portion of Jollie is approximately 4.25 inches long with the widest portion being 2 inches. The Jollie is supposed to be based on the shape of a real vagina and the large bulge on the top of the Jollie is supposed to help stimulate the g-spot. I like the idea of the Jollie but the size really just didn't work for me. The length was a little too long, making it difficult to get Jollie to stay in and the placement of the large bulge uncomfortable. I believe this is a personal anatomy issue and other's may not have the same experience. When fully inserted I could feel the tip of the Jollie pressing against my cervix in an uncomfortable manner and if I didn't have it fully inserted, my vagina would just push it out. I did enjoy the feeling of fullness that I got from using this toy, but the large bulge was kind of stretching my vaginal opening in a not so fun way if the toy wasn't in far enough. If you enjoy larger diameter toys, this could be really enjoyable for you.

Performance

The silicone material of the Jollie transmits the vibrations from a vibrator or bullet really well. I found that when I was able to get the Jollie fully inserted and keep it in, using a vibrating toy on/in the bullet arm provided the best feeling. The first time I tried the Jollie I warmed up a little with a vibrator on my clitoris and then lubed the Jollie up and tried to insert it with little success. So I added some more lube and tried again. I eventually got it to slide in slowly, but it wasn't feeling to comfortable and got ejected as soon as I let go. Once I worked it back in again, I kept pushing and testing to see at what point it would stay in and also trying to position the bullet arm so it would rub against my clit. When I reached the point that the Jollie would stay in, I noticed that I could feel a steady and somewhat uncomfortable pressure on my cervix.
The second time I tried the Jollie, I made sure I was much more warmed up. I had a session with my Njoy Pure wand that resulted in orgasm before bringing the Jollie in. I had much less trouble inserting the Jollie this time but it still wasn't very comfortable. I really wanted to love the Jollie because the shape is so unique and the color is spectacular (mine is blue), but it just didn't work for me. I do plan to keep trying it out from time to time in hopes that I will find a way that makes it work for me.

Care and Maintenance

The Jollie is made of 100% silicone, so it can be cleaned with soap and water, boiled, or washed in the top shelf of your dishwasher sans soap. Silicone based lubricants are not compatible with this material and should NOT be used. Water based lubricants work great with this material, though. The silicone does attract some dust, hair, and lint, so storing it in a toy bag is a great way to keep those things away as well as protect it from coming in contact with other silicone products.

Sorry this didn't work for you, hon. The first few times I used mine were very painful, but one day it just "clicked" for me and it was fantastic (though it is still painful for me right under my pubic bone as I try to press the "hump" through my vaginal opening -- only when it finally "pops" into place and remains plugged does it no longer hurt and finally begins to feel good . . . and then amazing).

You are definitely onto something by making certain that you are very aroused first by having an orgasm with another toy before attempting to insert it. I also suggest working your way up gradually in girth during your play session before attempting it. Oh, and applying the Hitachi (or some other powerful wand massager) to various places on the base and to the tip of the tail provide some incredible and knee-buckling vibrations all throughout the toy -- from the deepest penetrating part to the handle pressing against the clitoris!

I hope that it will eventually work well for you. I'm sad that you didn't get to have the same type of amazing experience that I was eventually able to have with this toy (even though I know on an intellectual level that we are all different in anatomies and preferences, so it would be impossible for everyone to feel the same!). Still, best of luck because if you can get it to work for you, you will be a very, very happy girl!

This toy just didn't fit my anatomy as far as the way the clitoral appendage missed the clit. I love the diameter and the lovely hump though, so I purchased the Jollet and I LOVE IT! Hopefully the Jollie will grow on you. Nice review.

  • Jollie Soft vs Jollie Firm
    • I was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit more information on the differences between the Jollie Soft and the Jollie Firm? I initially missed the fact that there were two versions of the two and now I'm tossing up which will be best for me, but I can't really seem to find much information on their differences, at least not in reviews and the website doesn't show a soft and firm option. One commenter suggested that they were all simply 'medium' firmness now - is that the case? Thanks!
