Not Real, But Close Enough

The Realdoe Slim is a great harness-less dildo that allows skin-on-skin contact during intercourse. It is made of pure silicone (easy cleanup and sanitation) and it has a slot where a bullet can be inserted for vibration (though the vibrations don't really travel entirely through the Realdoe). This has become one of my favorite prosthetics and I use it almost every time I have sex.

Use

The Realdoe Slim is the slimmer, sleeker model of the Realdoe, Tantus's realistic version of their Feeldoe harness-less dildo. Whether worn with a harness or without, the smaller, bulbous end is inserted into the wearer's body and the phallic end is used for penetration. It is a great size for those who cannot handle the larger diameter/length of the original Realdoe, and it has the option of vibrating during use by way of a bullet inserted into a slot on the back.

Material / Texture

The Realdoe Slim is made of high quality, pure silicone. Silicone has no taste or scent and is safe to use between partners if sanitized due to being nonporous. The silicone that Tantus uses for the Realdoe (both the slim and regular) is a firm, rigid silicone. It has very little flex (aside from at the corner where the ends meet) and does not dimple much at all when pinched. Because of this, the Realdoe caters mainly to those who like rigid silicone. If you prefer the silicone Tantus uses for their Purr or Silk dildos, then this is not the insertable for you. The Realdoe is not made with a dual-intensity silicone, sadly.

To the touch, the silicone almost feels bumpy or pebbled (very slightly). It is not smooth or slick at all; it has a lot of drag, but this can easily be dealt with by using a condom if you prefer a slicker surface.

Design / Shape / Size

The Realdoe Slim has the same properties as Tantus's Feeldoe: one end is bulbous that sits inside of the wearer, and the other is the "business" end. It looks similar to a boomerang, except it has one end that is a penis. Because of this, it is in no way, shape, or form discreet, and it also takes up a lot of space for storage. If storage or discretion is an issue for you, you'll want to find a special place to keep the Realdoe Slim.

Each side of the Realdoe Slim is an appropriate size for its use. The bulbous end is 3 1/2" long with the bulb itself being almost 1 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" long, leaving a 1" neck that's 1/2" in diameter. This is good for use anally or vaginally, because the neck is thin enough to keep the bulb firmly in place without becoming uncomfortable (depending on your body type). Connecting the bulb and the beautiful cock is a "saddle" (some people call it that, and I kind of agree given its shape), which is about 3" long. This should be big enough to go around the body in a comfortable manner. Finally, the phallic end is about 5 3/4" in length and 1 1/4" in diameter along the shaft; just under the head at the rim, the diameter is 1 1/2".

The size of the Realdoe Slim overall is good for those who prefer toys in this range or who like something a bit larger but want to try a toy of firmer density. The firmness of the silicone does make the Realdoe Slim feel larger than a softer toy of the same size.

Performance

I prefer the Slim to the regular Realdoe just because it isn't as lengthy and doesn't hit my girl's cervix with rougher intercourse. The bulb is comfortable at times, and uncomfortable at others, but that's mainly due to my anatomy. I think that for other people who have used vaginal balls (if used vaginally) or anal plugs (if used anally) more often would feel more comfort with wearing it for longer periods of time. For me, the wrapping of the saddle tends to press on my pelvic bone in that bruises me internally for a time. For the most part, if I am not as rough (like that ever happens), I do not have any pain after intercourse.

The shape of the Realdoe Slim should be compatible with most people's anatomy, both from the top and bottom's perspective. It sometimes slips out, so some may prefer to wear it with a harness or some other form of clothing to keep it in place. Generally, I just wear underwear during play to keep things comfortable for myself.

Both the Realdoe and Realdoe Slim have become my favorite prosthetics over the past few years. They are the two that I now use consistently.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is easy to take care of. For simple clean-up, a simple rinse with hot water will keep your Realdoe Slim nice and fresh. However, in the case of sanitation, silicone can be put through the dishwasher (without soap), boiled for a few minutes, or put into a 10% bleach bath. All of these methods will sanitize the Realdoe Slim, which is useful for the case of using between different partners or orifices.

Because of the shape of the Realdoe Slim, it isn't the easiest to store. I keep mine in a Ziploc baggie to keep it from getting dust or particles on the surface and then store it in a box. It stays out of trouble.

Packaging

Tantus packaged the Realdoe Slim in a clear plastic packaging that snapped shut. It was easy to open and had a paper insert with information about the product. Not much was said, but the basic material and care information was written. There was no reason to keep the packaging; it was not particularly helpful for storage, so I recycled it promptly after receiving the Realdoe.

Follow-up commentary
This is the prosthetic that I use most frequently now. While I have both the Realdoe and the Realdoe slim, I primarily use the slim because it suits my girl's size preference more (we're able to have intercourse without her feeling sore for days, but I can still make her sore if I want to). I'm incredibly satisfied with it, and it's lasted me a long time (and I'm hoping many years to come).
