This toy is designed as a G-spot and clitoral stimulator. Because of its design, it pretty much does both at once, or neither - meaning you can't use either stimulator independently. It would be a good toy for someone experienced with G-spot stimulation (i.e. where and how to find it). I would say it is more of a personal, solo-session toy rather than a couple's toy, but definitely could be used that way too. It is used by inserting one end of the C-shaped dildo vaginally. As it is inserted, this end will curl upwards to stimulate your G-spot while the other end will be nestled against the clitoris.

The Handmaiden is made of one of the most sanitary sex toy materials - silicone. Silicone can be easily sanitized with boiling water, and is durable enough to be placed in your dishwasher. It should NOT be used with silicone-based lubes or stored near any other silicone toys. It has a nice, smooth texture and a good balance between too squishy and too firm. The clitoral stimulator end has two rows of four "nubs" for stimulation, while the G-spot end has two rectangular-shaped stimulators. Silicone can also be used with temperature play, as it can be easily and safely used hot or cold.

The toy has a very unique design and may be too intimidating for a beginner. As far as size goes, it fits nicely in the palm of my hand. The insertable portion of the Handmaiden is about three inches long. Attatched to the c-shaped portion of the dildo is a "handle" that allows the user greater control of how the Handmaiden moves. The handle is almost t-shaped and compliments the design of the Handmaiden quite nicely.

I had really high hopes for this toy, as I was really intrigued by the shape, but just couldn't make it work for me. Maybe my anatomy is shaped differently than normal... but it was just uncomfortable for me. It was almost like the "C" was curved too much, and it was uncomfortable to insert more than about an inch. It really disappointed me, because the design looked really enticing. All was not totally lost though, because the soft, silky feel of the silicone felt really good when I used the back side of the Handmaiden (smooth side of the C) on my clit.

This toy can be cared for by sanitizing in boiling water or with a run in the dishwasher. Water-based lubes ONLY. It can be stored in the silk drawstring bag that is included with the toy. Make sure it is not stored near any other silicone toys.

This toy comes in a really attractive package. It is made of clear plastic with the toy's name on the front and some purple designs. The back of the package has information about the toy including its features and how to care for silicone. Also included is a silk-like drawstring bag that can be used for storage. The package can also be kept and used for storage as well, as it is an aesthetically pleasing toy and could be displayed proudly (if you're so lucky to not have to hide your toys!!).

I had a lot of hope for this toy! I would think it would be pleasing to others and maybe my discomfort and disappointment with it was just a fluke. It looked like a lot of fun! :(
