Not What I Hoped For

While this is a quality toy, I found I was disappointed with it overall. I found it didn't work for me as a "strapless strap-on" which is what I purchased it for.
You might have more luck if you enjoy firm, smooth toys and either have very strong PC muscles or are happy to use this with a harness.
I don't enjoy using the Feeldoe, but I'm giving it 3 stars because it is a quality toy even though it doesn't work for me.

extremely useful review
I bought the Feeldoe Violet 3-4 years ago and it has seen very little use. The concept is great and I was really eager to buy this when I saw it, however there are some aspects of the design that don't work for me personally.

The shaft of the dildo is made of a firm silicone that I find uncomfortable when on the receiving end. My preference for a "strap-on" is a softer toy that it is more forgiving during vigorous thrusting. I find that it hurts me and I am left feeling bruised afterwards.
If you prefer a firm, slightly bendable silicone this toy could suit you. I would love to see Tantus try to remake the Feeldoe in their O2 material.

The texture is very smooth, with a seam running down the length of the toy. My preference is for slightly textured dildos, so again, this didn't suit me. I found the seam mildly annoying at times, but it isn't overly distracting.

I had an easier time when I was wearing the Feeldoe myself and using it on a partner who enjoys smooth, firm toys. In positions where my legs were closed together I never had a problem with it falling out; although it becomes difficult the wetter you are. I didn't feel like it was very secure and I didn't have as much control of angles and depth as I would like. I also found that the hard silicone made my clitoral area sore if I used it for too long.

The Feeldoe is quite heavy; so if your PC muscles aren't very strong you might find it harder to keep in than I did. If you have a harness where the o-ring can be placed low on your pubic bone, you could use the harness with the Feeldoe if you have trouble keeping it in or just want to feel more secure. On the rare occasion this toy gets used, I prefer to use it in a harness for the extra control it gives. When used with a harness it feels very sturdy and gives good control, better than most strap-ons.

The bullet that came with it, from memory, had a decent strength when you used it by itself. But when inserted into the bullet hole the vibrations didn't travel very well through the shaft. The vibrations provided extra clitoral stimulation for the wearer, but probably wouldn't be strong enough for orgasm unless you are really sensitive. I ended up just using the bullet separately until it died. You could try using the Feeldoe with a stronger bullet, but it seemed like the silicone just didn't transmit vibrations very well.

The Feeldoe is made of silicone and it feels like a good quality toy that will last a long time. It can be boiled or bleached to sterilize; just make sure you remove the bullet first. To clean the bullet you can wipe it down with toy cleaner or a soapy cloth. I haven't seen any mention of the bullet being waterproof, so I'd recommend keeping it out of water when washing it. If you remove the bullet, the rest of the Feeldoe is completely waterproof so feel free to submerge it when cleaning. You can also use the Feeldoe in the bath/shower/pool, as long as you remove the bullet or swap it for a waterproof bullet.

This works best with water-based lube. Don't ever use silicone lube as it can ruin silicone toys. Lube tends to bead up on it and not stay put, so that can be an issue.

The Feeldoe can be shared between partners, just make sure you sterilize before you swap. Frankly, the ability to sterilize this and share between partners is my favourite feature, otherwise I would have absolutely no use for this. My main partners don't enjoy very firm toys either, so I only use it occasionally when I'm with someone who does.

The Feeldoe is safe for anal use. The shape of it prevents it disappearing up your butt and it is non-porous so you don't have to worry about lurking germs.

The small "pony" end and base would make a good handle if you want to use this with your hands for masturbation, with or without a partner. It also has almost no taste, so it could work well if you want a dildo to practice oral with.

This is pretty much exactly how I felt about my Feeldoe, I also had this size. I find that no solid silicone toy transmits vibrations very well no matter the vibrator. And I could NOT keep this sucker inside of me. It was something I purchased years before I started reviewing and it was the most expensive sex toy I'd ever bought outright....and it barely got used.

Also: If you think it's bad for vaginal sex, it's even worse for pegging. A tighter hole means more resistance means it's even harder to use as its made. If there had been a plus-size friendly harness back then for this, I'd have purchased one.
