The Softee Ballsy Cock was somewhat of a disappointment for me during use. With its base, I was hoping to be able to ride this dildo, but I wasn't. The dildo is best used doggie, missionary, on your side or anally with the right protection. I suppose you could get creative with the dildo and use it many different ways but I was unable to sit and ride because it is somewhat short and not firm enough for easy insertion. We all like easy, right? However, as a more advanced user, I may select this dildo as a gift for someone new to the sex toy world. Beginners or people who don't enjoy large dildos would love this little guy. You can use the softee cock alone or with a friend, but due to its material, always take appropriate safety precautions when using the ballsy cock. I will touch on material and safety a little later.

I have never had a dildo before that was made out of sil-a-gel like the Softee Ballsy Cock. There is a smell to it similar to rubber, I assume this is because of the Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). I washed before and after my first use and the smell still lingers now. There is almost a sticky feel to this dildo and I noticed during examination that it absorbs lube quite quickly, making this little guy porous. The texture is actually great for beginners as long as they follow responsible care and maintenance. Advanced users may like the dildo for anal play, at just over five inches of insertable length and a circumference of five inches, it was very fulfilling used this way. There was a place amongst the ridges on the dildo that appeared to be separating when I first pulled it out of the packaging, so I don't know how well this imperfection will hold up in future use.

I do sense a bit of realistic design with a bit over exaggeration as well. The dildo is soft and squishy, stretchy and flexible, which makes this a bad candidate for me. I love toys that have some flexibility, but this little guy flexes in all the wrong places and at all the wrong times. The head is very defined, which some users love; I know I do. The over exaggerated veins below the head cover one side of the dildo and stop just before a raised ridge that follows the entire length of penis and connects to the balls, making a great overall design, but just not long enough for what I really hoped to use this dildo for. A beginner or somewhat experienced user could find great use from this toy. It is not very discreet because of it being realistic.

I feel like the Softee Ballsy Cock is great to get you in the mood for something better or is used in correlation with a vibrator. Usually, toys with more girth and size can send me over the edge faster than any vibrator but since this guy is small, the only real pleasure I got from him was using him with a vibe or anally with a condom. There is no suction cup, but you can get somewhat of a good placement by pushing the dildo down on a hard smooth surface because of the arched bottom to the dildo. It is not going to stay in place but works well temporarily. Since there are balls attached to this toy, you could slide it through a harness for use. I did not try this, but the base is wide enough all the way around that it should hold quite well.

Sil-a-gel is a porous material and presents a smell that may not be pleasant. I suggest always washing this toy before and after use due to its ability to collect dust and small particles. I use warm water and an antibacterial soap when washing. Also, always using a condom with this toy is a good idea because of its porosity, especially if sharing or using anally. When storing, I treat this toy as I would any porous, smelly toy and slide it into a zip lock bag after drying. This is to keep the smell and dust from attaching to other toys. I primarily use water based lubricant with all my toys and since this one is made of similar materials to my Double Header, I do not recommend using anything different, although most people assure that silicone based lubricants are safe as well.

The Softee Ballsy Cock came in a basic plastic enclosure with a very retro colored insert. The packaging says the toy is Pthalate free and anti-bacterial. With your basic packaging, there are never rules or guidelines for use and this has none, either. The plastic enclosure--while thick and seemingly durable--is not recommended for storage, but is great for moving or long time storage because of the extra protection offered. Also, there are instructions for recycling found on this packaging. I would not recommend for gift giving.

I enjoyed my experience with the Softee Ballsy Cock, but wish I had picked up one of its brothers instead. There is a line of these cocks available from Doc Johnson and this little guy is the smallest. I do have a fondness for him though, and my own personal experience proves so: I did not get rid of him as soon as I felt frustrated in my first quest to use him. As I said before I wish this were a little firmer for use and maybe a little longer, but overall he is great for beginners and people looking for a little less girth and length. "Oh, Softee, get hard for me!" was literally said by me during my first use and attempt to ride this little guy, but if I get past that one issue, he's not so bad and will probably stick around in my collection for quite a while.
