Oh Sugar Sugar
The Sugar Drop has quickly become the dildo I grab for first when I want g-spot stimulation. It's girthy yet not too large, perfectly shaped, not too long and has a handle that makes thrusting almost effortless. Firm yet soft, flexible yet rigid enough for vigorous thrusting, the Sugar Drop is one very sweet toy.Published: March 30, 2009
Pros:
Sterilizable silicone, soft yet firm, fabulous handle, ideal shape, excellent color choices.
Cons:
A little bendy in the handle, raised "bubbles" seem to be too much texture for some.
Experience
Pictures on the blog for actual size compared to a hand and the "bubbles" on the shaft.
Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
It’s almost two months later, and I still totally love my sugar drop.
Unfortunately the stand doesn't do me much good. I have no where to stand it where it won't pick up every bit of dog and cat hair, and dust and down that floats around my house. So it gets stored in a satchel with all my other silicone toys. It's held up incredibly well, with no reaction to touching other toys.
I did recently read a review where someone stated they used the handle end as the insertable end, and I wanted to make a note that this is not something that will work for most people. The flat end while it looks much like that of the Ella, Gigi, and Gigolo, it is HUGE. The one time I tried to use it for insertion, it hurt like hell and created this weird suction thing that scared the crap out of me. Now every woman's anatomy is different, but the chances that you'll be able to use this as a dual ended dildo are very, very slim.

I see most of the colors are out of stock - will EF get them in stock by Christmas time?

Boiling silicone/metal dildos = safe sharing without condoms?
-
If I boil a silicone or metal dildo -- or an anal plug -- would it then be safe to share with my husband without putting a condom on it? Since we are fluid-bonded, I'd hate to waste the money on condoms (they're not cheap!).
Also, if I use a dildo anally and then boil it, would it be safe to use vaginally without a condom? From what I understand, silicone and steel are completely sterilizable with boiling, but I want to be 100% certain first.
Also, can you boil Pyrex glass to sterilize for sharing? I don't yet have any glass toys -- a mistake that I will soon be rectifying! Using both anally and vaginally, as well as sharing, might be fun. -
If you're fluid bonded, I don't see the problem. Why do you need to ultra sterilize it if you're already fluid bonded? Normal cleaning should be fine.. I'm not sure I'm getting the question though maybe.

I'm not sure I'm getting the question though maybe.Normally cleaning would not be good enough since I'm concerned about transferring bacteria (E. Coli) after anal insertion to the vagina or transferring bacteria from partner to partner (not usually a problem during vaginal sex since E. Coli is found in the rectum and digestive tract).
I had thought that boiling was sufficient to kill the bacteria on silicone and metal toys, but I read a couple of reviews on EF where the reviewer recommended using a condom on the toy ANYTIME that toys were shared. But I don't see why using a condom on a toy would be necessary after boiling.
Again, I thought boiling sufficiently killed the bacteria and effectively sterilized the toy to be safe for sharing. I assumed "safe for sharing" meant that, once boiled, no condom would be needed. Just wanted to make doubly certain.

Boiling silicone dildos
-
Married coupleI have the Sugar dildo and i like it very much. I'm using it only vaginally. I know this toy can be boiled to sterilize, should I do that every time I use this silicone dildo? -

But if you are particularly concerned, boil away :) -
It's not necessary to do it every single time, no. I'd say a good scrub with liquid antibacterial soap and warm water, and boiling it maybe every fifth time or so will give you a toy that'll last for years! Remember the water should be at a rolling boil (the bubbles keep the silicone from laying on the very hot bottom of the pot) and you really only need maybe 3 or 4 minutes in the boiling water before it's ok.

Thank you for viewing Sugar drop – dildo review page!

I had assumed this was just like the Ella as well. I'm glad I read up about it before I got too excited.
This one looks so cool. Thanks for the review!
