Perfectly Pleasurable
This is simply a great dildo. There are no bells and whistles, just stimulating bulbs. It is easy to use care for and is hypoallergenic, non-porous and latex-free. In short, it's perfect.Published: January 18, 2010

This is my first ceramic toy and I am in love. It's beautiful, has lovely bulbs, is handcrafted and very fun to play with. I chose red for the color and it's a nice shade and the glaze is very smooth and shiny. I believe its non-phallic appearance would make it easy to get away with having it out in the open. I've read about this toy being used as a massager so that could be your cover story.
Since the toy is ceramic it is not flexible and has absolutely no give, so bear that in mind when considering purchasing Pleasure. Me, I love its rigidity. Soft has its place but give me a rigid steel, glass, or ceramic toy and I'm a happy little camper. Pleasure measures in at 7 1/2" long and nearly all of them are insertable. Its circumference is 4" (1.27" diameter). The bulbs are all the same size but since this toy is made by hand, you might find some slight variations in yours. It has a simple flat base which allows it to stand upright. Since the base is not flared, I recommend that you be very careful when playing anally.
Weighing in at 7.6oz., Pleasure is not very heavy but the weight it does bear feels nice while in use. You can use whatever type of lube you wish. Cleaning Pleasure is simple. Soap and water is an excellent cleaning method as are toy cleaner sprays and wipes, but this beautiful toy can also be bleached and is dishwater safe. Do not boil the Pleasure as the hot temperature might cause it to break. If you wish to engage in temperature play, slowly cool it down or warm it up in a bowl of water. I find that just handling it for a minute or two warms it up considerably.
Pleasure comes with a black velvet storage bag in a checkered pattern that I'm really impressed with. The material is bit thicker than most storage bags (but definitely thinner than Don Wands') and the stitching is well done and quite sturdy. I laid the toy in its storage bag against a glass dildo and there wasn't a scary clack of the two hitting together, just a nice thud muffled by the bag. Neither toy suffered any ill effects. Despite this you will still want to avoid dropping this dildo.
Because its surface is so smooth, you don't need a lot of lube. In fact, if you make it too slick you lose some of the sensation of the bulbs. Also, it can be hard to keep a hold of when it's really slippery. I've always liked the initial pop of a toy going inside of me, and this excellent toy gives you that sensation over and over again. And it feels very damn good. The bulbs can also be rubbed along the clitoris for extra stimulation.

How gorgeous is this?

I'm so in lust here. I've never used a ceramic toy before, in fact, I've been a pretty monogamous with silicone for quite some time. Recently I've been expanding my horizons in terms of materials and I think this baby might be my first ceramic purchase (once it's available).
Does anyone here with ceramic experience have any other recommendations, or does this seem like a safe bet? Thanks y'all! :) -

My point of view is that the Pleasure is a good starter toy for those new to ceramic, it is real smooth, lightweight and manuevers easily. My first toy was a ceramic one, ironiclly that I made and from there my love of harder material toys grew. I am here to answer any questions you may have about ceramic and would love to hear others experiences too.

Thank you for responding, Laura! I'm only recently discovering the thrill that harder materials like glass and ceramic can provide. It's definitely unlike anything else. As long as you are here to field questions, I'd love to know a little more about the process of making ceramic toys is like. I took a ceramics class once in high school, but I get the feeling this might be a bit different :P

Great review.
I've actually never seen this dildo before. Thanks.
Ooh, another red toy
Great review!
Very nice review. Does it weigh 7lbs 6oz or is that a typo?
Mistress Kay & Sammi: Thank you.
Newme: That is indeed a typo that I have now corrected. Now that would've made for a hefty toy. lol Thank you.
Good, I was a bit worried. LOL
