Princess Ella

Through this toy I've had good experiences with g-spot stimulation at my own pace. I haven't had a g-spot orgasm with Ella...yet. But you know what, even that is not a reason to pass up this dildo. It's about the journey, after all. This toy feels great regardless, so if you're new like me, go at your own pace. It's definitely worth the investment for quality design, presentation and pleasure.

stunningly sexy, body safe, variety of uses, feels great, low maintenance, affordable
Cons:

Use

This toy is, in short, a double ended dildo. Well suited for beginners and seasoned pros alike, I would recommend this toy to anyone with a vagina interested in penetrative play. It is easily a single handed dildo, making it easy to incorporate in solo or couples play. The material is a 100% body safe, non-porous hard (yet silky) silicone.

Material / Texture

This Toy. It Feels SO SEXY. There is absolutely nothing realistic about the white Ella I recently purchased, zero, nada. But something about the perfectly balanced, organic nature of Ella's form, coupled with its smooth surface - it gives me chills. You will intuitively feel the urge to fuck this toy. The Ella is fairly hard, but because its girth is rather small, I would still recommend it for beginners.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

As a designer, it is my belief that the most functional designs, when done 100% true to their objective, result in the highest level of aesthetic beauty. The Ella is a perfect example of this fact. Ella is designed to be compatible with a female body, and so the toy itself feels undoubtedly feminine and graceful.

The length of this toy is 7" total, with an insertable length of 5" on either end of the dildo. On the g-spotting side I tend to not take advantage of the full 5" for the most effective stimulation, however. This toy has a subtle, yet effective curve throughout the shaft that makes it easy to grip from either end. The dildo end is thick and seamless with two ridges that run down the tapered shaft ending at a soft point. The g-spotting side is considerably narrower and more flexible, but ends in a curved, stiff "head" that is just under the maximum width of the opposing end. This head has a flat surface that tilts upward, often seen on toys meant for g-spot stimulation (much like the Lelo GiGi, but with a narrower neck), that is about the size of an oblong silver dollar. (or maybe a kumquat? a cherry tomato??)
    • Discreet look/design
    • Ergonomic
    • Whimsical / artistic

Performance

First off, I have not put this toy in my butt, and I don't recommend it because that is not what this toy is for due to the lack of a flared base. This toy can do double-time already, just buy a butt toy. LEAVE ELLA ALONE.

The Dildo End: was a little pointy, yes and I would argue it feels much larger than the g-spotting end. I used this end to warm up and while this isn't nearly the largest piece of equipment I've had in me, it felt quite filling, as if it were really taking the shape of my vagina. I liked it, but wasn't crazy about it, as I found it a little bit pointy for hard thrusting. (I have a sensitive cervix due to my IUD, this may not bother other people.)

The G-spot End: I'll admit, I was a little intimidated by the g-spot end at first. I'd never put anything so un-dick like up in there and I was sort of confused as to how that would work. It took a little tipping and adjusting, but once it was in, it was in. My very own vagina did most of the work for me on that front, and I was surprised how quickly and easily I took it in without much effort after initial insertion. AND THEN, with the help of some porn and my other hand, I was good to go; hesitantly thrusting at first, but once I really started to go for it, that's when it started to feel GOOD, like REALLY GOOD. And different! Unexpected cries of pleasure! Overall, a great sensation and much more pleasurable than the other end.

The only thing I've had a bit of trouble with is removing the g-spot end post-play. I haven't quite gotten the angles right yet and removing the 'head' of the dildo can be a bit pinchy, but that doesn't keep me from reaching for it whenever I'm in the mood.
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

The Ella couldn't be easier to care for. I rinse it with warm water after use and store it in the box. Every once in awhile when I'm feeling neurotic I'll use soap. Because this toy has no batteries or motors, you can pop it in the dishwasher, boil it, or use a 10% bleach solution to sterilize. This is a silicone toy, so I only use water based lubricant because I wouldn't dare risk ruining the silky texture.

The WHITE Ella specifically has held up great, so far. I was hesitant at first to purchase a white dildo because I was afraid it would stain or grow dingy over time. Thankfully, the non-porous aspect of this toy has kept the color clear and pristine like the day I received it, even after using it during *light* menstruation and spotting. Personally, I get too crampy and yucky to use it during my period, so I probably won't be doing that any time soon. Other reviewers seem to have no problem with staining even while using the white ella on their period, as long as it's cleaned promptly after use.

On top of all this, the Ella if stored properly, attracts Zero lint.

DOES IT GET ANY BETTER, REALLY??
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Classy packaging is a standard with Lelo toys, but I was especially pleased when I unboxed my Ella. There are two options for storing this toy! The Ella first comes packaged in a long black box with the signature Lelo silver lettering - much like what one would expect to house a piece of jewelry. The box is made of quality, black, cardboard. Inside the box, the Lelo Ella sits on a platform-like piece of black cardboard (again, much like one would find in a jewelry box) with an Ella shaped indentation in it to keep it in place. When I removed this platform, I found a black satin drawstring bag (the second storage option) and a free sample of Lelo personal moisturizer.

Needless to say, I love the jewelry comparison, (and I never say this but...) it makes me feel like a princess. So, that's how I've been choosing to store my Ella. I'll use the bag once my toy collection grows too large to box everything I own.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal

Personal comments

Listen y'all. I'm super new to g-spot stimulation. Super new. I've never squirted, I've never had a g-spot orgasm, I don't know what that's like. Like, there have been times when I've thought "oh that's my g-spot, mmm..." and then backed off because I was nervous or intimidated. BY MY OWN BODILY PLEASURE. I'm sure I'm not alone here. If you're like me, give Ella a shot.

This is a really good review, and the Ella was the toy that gave me my first g-spot orgasm. It will always have a special place in my heart for that reason.

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

I have not tried anything like that I hear alot of good things and alot of not so good things. its up to you to try and see what you prefer..

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

I'm glad Ella seems like such a successful toy! I hope she works for me, too <3

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
