Purple Kush

This dildo is fantastic, for those seeking girth and texture. Its girth makes it primarily for intermediate to advanced players. Depending on your experience you can use this vaginally and anally. The ridge can either work for you or against you. It didn't work for me at first, but after some repositioning, it had me seeing stars.

Use

This solid dildo is great for whatever works for your body. I use it vaginally, but I had to find out how to use it comfortably first. The ridge is something to think about when daydreaming of the O2 Cush. There are times when the ridge feels great facing up, as it internally rubs my urethra and G-spot; but there are times when it doesn't, so I flip it around and then it feels amazing as it strokes the inner walls of my perineum.

I haven't tried the Cush anally, simply because I don't know if I could handle the girth, or the ridge. I'm sure if I had a prostate, I'd have this lovely dildo up my butt as I write this. Since I do not, it is with its fellow dildos at this very moment. Regardless of where you enjoy this attention grabbing dildo, you are going to need some water-based lube to get things going. I use Cush primarily by myself, but if you were use it with a partner, by hand or by harness, extra communication would be in order because of the ridge.

Cush can be used in the shower, in the tub, on the floor, in bed, in the car (with discretion); basically anywhere your hands, your partner's hands, or a harness is nearby. There is no suction cup base, so it's mainly hands-on work with the Cush.

*Do not use silicone based lube. It may damage the toy. If you are determined to use silicone based lube, makes sure to spot test on an area that is not insertable.

Material / Texture

The O2 Cush is made from Tantus' 100% Ultra-Premium, "Platinum" Silicone. Silicone is a fabulous material and it rates a 10 on Eden Safety Scale. It is non-porous, non-toxic, phthalates-free, and hypoallergenic. Yay! Here's where it gets interesting. The O2 Cush is made up of dual-density silicone! The purple inner core is made up of a firm silicone that gives the Cush its solid shape. The white outer layer is made of a more plush silicone. It gives the Cush a velvety, matte finish. The outer layer is softer, but not much. It does take a great deal of pressure to really "squish" it, but that's what allows the Cush to maintain its designed curves and ridges when in use. I didn't find that it made the dildo feel more lifelike, but it did make it more comfortable for thrusting. The base is made out of the same silicone as the inner core. I included the picture to show its flexibility.

The texture on the Cush is something that has to come into heavy consideration before purchasing. The head of this dildo is fabulous, but the ridge that lies underneath it can prove to be difficult for some. For me, I've found that it all depends on what I'm in the mood for. I have had to stop play, because the ridge didn't work for my body that day. When it comes to the ridge, it's a toss-up.

**DO NOT USE SILICONE BASED LUBE!!! IT MAY DAMAGE THE TOY!!! If you insist on using a silicone based lube, be sure to spot to test on an area that is not insertable.

Design / Shape / Size

The O2 Cush has, in my opinion, a rather unique design. The tip is more conical than blunt, which makes for easy insertion. The majority of the head is made of only the softer silicone. That also makes it nice if you use it for external teasing. The first ridge is reminiscent of a coronal ridge on a penis. The second ridge swoops down at an extreme angle, from the back to the front. This makes it able to be inserted comfortably and smoothly. It gives a nice texture that hits the walls--oh, so nice. As it reaches the front, it becomes more pronounced. The swooping ridge is completely made up of the softer silicone. It does have some give, but not much. So, in use, this can either work for you or against you. Underneath the pronounced area of the ridge, the softer layer isn't as thick, and it thickens more further down the shaft. The entire back of the Cush has a thicker amount of the softer silicone. It gives the Cush a "leaning over" kind of look, and a slight curve. The base is rather small, compared to the diameter of the Cush. When using it by hand, this can make it rather difficult to hold. The diameter of this toy would make it ideal for intermediate and advanced players. The O2 Cush is a girthy toy, and it would be way too big for a beginner.

Performance

As I've stated before, enjoyment of the O2 Cush can be temperamental. When I initially tried using it with the ridge facing up, I found it to be too stiff against my inner walls, like someone was scraping them. I turned it over and "WOW". The ridge rubbed my lower vaginal wall just right, and the soft layer worked in all of the right ways. The soft head made it comfortable for deep thrusting. To hit my G-spot, I have get the ridge in exactly the right place (this can be difficult at times), and use only short thrusts. I can only imagine how incredible this would feel on a prostate. The Cush O2 is great for those who want to feel significant girth while using a clitoral vibe. When I'm looking to feel "full", this is the dildo I grab every time. I use the O2 Cush primarily by myself, and I've found that holding onto the base can be difficult. The most effective way is to use three fingers to press the base of the dildo while it's deep inside. I didn't find that the Cush flexed much while in use, but because of the slight curve it doesn't really need to. The first time I used the Purple Kush, I was left out of breath and couldn't move. I looked at it in wonder and amazement, and then I took a nap.

Care and Maintenance

Two reasons why I love silicone: It's easy to clean, and it's sterilizable. Cleaning the O2 Cush is a breeze, especially since the ridges are all widely spaced. I use gentle soap or toy cleaner, and water. To sterilize the Purple Kush, I boil it for 3-5 minutes. You can also sterilize it by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution or running it in the dishwasher without soap. The toy does pick up hair and lint, so keeping it in a plastic baggie or in the original box would be wise.

Packaging

The O2 Cush comes in Tantus' standard packaging. It's clear and orange on the front, and opaque and orange on the back. On the back it has Tantus' mission statement and a brief message about the miracle of silicone. The O2 Cush is held in place by a clam shell positioner. The three-tab box top can make opening and closing it a pain, but if that's not a problem, you can throw out the positioner and store the toy in the box. I personally didn't care to keep it, as it is much larger the O2 Cush itself. Fortunately the packaging is entirely recyclable.
