Due to the number of pronounced ridges on the Echo, it is likely a dildo for those who already have some experience with ridged or veined toys. My past experience with ridged dildos was minimal before the Echo, as I was more accustomed to subtle changes in the mold rather then the sort of uncompromising ridges in the Echo. I describe it as such, because the material is quite solid and once inserted vaginally, I found it to be uncomfortably jarring. Both slow and vigorous use became uncomfortable and distracted me with pain, rather then any built up pleasure.

However, as an anal use toy, the Echo is now my preferred dildo of choice. What had been uncomfortable vaginally, is extremely comfortable anally. The circumference and length of the Echo was quite manageable, allowing me to sit back on it and ride out several orgasms without vaginal stimulation.

Usually in my household, if a toy fails to be vaginally satisfying, it gets demoted to anal play. In this case however, the Echo was promoted! To be my favorite anal use toy, desired above all others. For me, it will never be an enjoyable vaginal use toy, but that doesn't matter because from now on I will be using it anally. In this regard, it is not a disappointment at all, the Echo has proven itself to be a keeper!

The Echo was enjoyable for both solo and partnered playing. And while some people have complained about the base of it being too small, I had no trouble using the Echo with our harness.
