Gold fumed rocky road review by Phallix

The Gold-Fumed Rocky Road glass G-spot shaft by Phallix is my first non-vibrating dildo. Frankly, I didn’t know what to expect from this toy, and suspected that I would be disappointed, but I’d heard so many good things about glass dildos that I figured it was time to give one a try.

First, let me say the Rocky Road is a very aesthetically pleasing toy. It comes in a pink satin drawstring bag with a bow and lace trim—very pretty! The dildo itself is a sparkly wonder; clear glass with raised pink nubs and a very slight s-shaped curve, and the entire thing is shot through with a golden shimmer! The glass is smooth and cool to the touch, and the nubs are prominent without being painfully large.

I opted for the smaller 1” diameter version as opposed to the 1 ¼” diameter version, just because this was my first glass toy. Given the prominence of the nubs, I found the size to be just perfect for me. The clear glass head bulges beyond the diameter of the shaft, but it is not overly large--I personally had no difficulty or discomfort while inserting the head.

The most amazing thing to me about the Gold-Fumed Rocky Road is that IT FELT LIKE A REAL PENIS! Seriously, honest-to-God! How a curved, prominently nubbed, glass toy can feel like the real thing is simply beyond me. But something about the design of the toy made me feel like I was experiencing the real thing! While stroking the Rocky Road in and out slowly and rapidly, I could easily close my eyes and imagine it was a real penis. The glass warms quickly to body-temperature, and the nubs and curve provide just enough stimulation without being awkward or painful.

All in all, I would highly recommend the smaller version of the Gold-Fumed Rocky Road to any woman who is looking for her first non-vibrating dildo experience. The price is a little steep, but I genuinely believe it’s worth it!

After further testing and careful consideration, I really have to stand by my initial assertion that this toy does, at least to me, feel like a real penis.  Indeed it has nubs, and they are fairly prominent; however, I am not really sensitive enough to be able to TELL they are nubs.  What I get from them is a sensation of friction not normally found in a glass toy.  I think this friction is what mimics the real thing and makes thrusting play with this toy feel so realistic.  Those who are more sensitive to texture might disagree with me, but I still think that - especially for a glass toy - this is remarkably close to the real thing.
