Share the Love with the Share!
For anyone considering reversing the tables on who is giving and receiving the penetration, this is a good toy to start with. While it does take some time to learn how to use the toy, it is well worth it. For those who want something smaller there is a smaller version out there and a larger version (the XL) also available. Given the alternatives to this product I think this is the best overall option for this style of toy.Published: December 26, 2009
Pros:
No-harness Design, Silky feel, Multiple uses
Cons:
Floppyness of toy, Learning Curve
The Share is the standard double ended dildo by Fun Factory. They offer a few versions, all with a bulb (the non-phallic shaped part) that are similar in size, but with different size shafts (small, regular one and XL). While the toy is marketed as a somewhat strapless strap on, it has multiple uses. Since I am a guy, I can only comment on my experience and what I observed and discussed with my girlfriend, I will try to be as comprehensive as possible.
This toy has some competition in the Feeldoe line, which from what I can tell offers a vibrating bullet, a few thickness/length options in different models, but also a harder material. We decided on the share as it looked like it was a bit more forgiving and it has a more silky smooth touch to it which we felt fit our needs better as we both were new to turning the tables on who was taking it anally...
The bulb end is a little bit large and may take a little time to work it in without discomfort, once in, it holds the toy in place and gave my girlfriend a g spot orgasm almost instantly. The shaft end is somewhat large for a beginner to anal play (it is about 1 1/2 in. in Diameter and 6in. insertable) and had a defined head with a ridge. I found this to be a pleasurable feature as is added some texture to what otherwise is a smooth toy. It is slightly curved upwards and hits the P spot anally on men and the G spot on women. The toy can also be used simply as a dildo to masturbate with either vaginally or anally. For the women out there you could also wear it while around the house to feel somewhat what it is like to have a penis (and no, the toy will not fall out of you, its quit snug).
However, this toy does have its own challenges. While it doesn't need a harness, it is a bit floppy and has some weight to it. It is somewhat hard to control and requires some trial and error to really figure it out. But with patience is reward.
The material is a silky smooth silicone, which can be cleaned with soap, in the dishwasher or boiled. A huge plus for any high quality toy. This material also lends itself to a longer life of the toy. However, silicone lube cannot be used with this toy as it will degrade the toy, which is not fun for anyone and their investment.

Follow-up commentary

Unfortunately, this was not a toy I owned, rather a girl I was dating did and have not had any recent experience with this toy. However, the fact that I have remained interested in this toy and trying it again speaks to the performance of this toy as it left a lasting impression on me. I am curious to try the XL version of this one with the ridges, especially since I have explored anal pleasure a bit more since using this toy.
I have read about the Feeldoe Vs. Share debates and still have to side with the Share. I think that the silky texture of the silicone and the firmness of this toy push it above the FeelDoe. The Feeldoe simply looks like it is too firm and its polished texture could be some fallbacks of those toys, despite their ability to vibrate. While I have not experienced a Feeldoe, I can only speculate on these elements, but the Share exceded my expectations and left a lasting impression.
I also think this toy would work well with a harness as that would solve the floppyness problem and still provide mutual stimulation.
I still think that anyone who is interesting in gender play, should look into the Share. It will give you a fantastic experience and could open pandoras box.

can you get off while using this?
-
I would really love to be using this with my partner, at got off at the same time..
-
without too much effort on my part?
-
It really depends on your anatomy and what gets you off.
If it can hit your g-spot, that'll do something, but it varies person-to-person how much. It might hit your clitoris, but again depends on how the toy fits your body - and if you can get off from that kind of stimulation.
Personally, I don't rely on it to get me "all the way" all by itself - because I can't orgasm so far with just g-spot and clitoral touching. Some people certainly can, it just depends. :)

Strapless dildos

Are strapless dildos hard to use for beginners?
-
I've never tried one myself, but I've heard they have a bit of a learning curve and you need strong kegels to use them properly. I've also heard, however, that they will work with a harness if you need extra stability.
-
It really seems like they're hard to use period. I don't know of anyone who regularly uses them without a harness (though I'd love to hear from someone who does).

Share vs. Feeldoe
-
forkehHow do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness?
Thank you. -
Quote: How do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness? They both work well in a harness. Share is a little bouncier and thicker and jucier and Feeldoe is much firmer. I find them both easy to use with no harness, although I find Nexus JR the easiest to retain. Out of all the double dildoes I have tried (all 4 Feeldoes, both Shares, Tango, and the three Nexus sizes, I find Tango the hardest to hold with my muscles followed by Nexus Maximus (weighs a ton) and Share XL (weighs like a brick and is floppy) . I'm a driver. It matters a bit less if you are a pillow princess.
Thank you. -
I have the Feeldoe(slim) and the Tango and have used the Share. I agree with Kuuipogal. But for me they all pop out just prior to orgasm despite strong Kegels but the "look" w/o a harness is awesome.
I am a hard and vigorous driver so a harness for me has been the solution. I have the Aslan Jaguar and the Spare Parts both super.

Strap-onless strap-ons
-
I love when my girlfriend ties me down and dominates me but we haven't given much thought to strap-ons. Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?
-
A starp-on harness is a good initial investment because it can be used with a variety of toys including strapless ones (if desired).
The strapless ones seem to be pretty good, though depending on who you talk to. The Share line and the feeldoe line seem to get good marks from most and present the best chance that they can be used completely without a harness. The Nexus line would probably be somewhat more difficult for the giver to hold inside without a harness. I think the harness option might be better for versatility, but the Share might represent an excellent choice for you and your girlfriend as well. -

Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?Personally, I would say no... just because they're harder to navigate. Certainly possible, and you can add a harness to get more stability while keeping the internal stimulation. There are also some harnesses that will hold a cock inside the wearer as well, so you have more options.
I'd agree with Jimbo that either the Share or Feeldoe is your best bet for doubles like this, the Nexus just doesn't cut it.
