Silicone Crystal Cote Review

The Silicone Crystal Cote is the perfect beginner's toy; it's not too thick or too long, the texture is gentle enough for beginners, and best of all, the material is body-safe. If you're a more advanced user, however, you might want to pass on this toy.

Use

This is the perfect shower toy; it doesn't take batteries, so don't worry about ruining your toy, and it has a suction cup! Stick it to your walls, your floor, any flat surface works. It's also absolutely silent, so if you have thin walls, don't worry about your nosy neighbors hearing you. The base is very wide, so it'd be great for anal, although I haven't tested that out myself. I think that this toy would be a great beginner's toy, or maybe for an intermediate user.

Material / Texture

I really like this material, although the material is only a six out of ten on the EF materials chart. The material is smooth but has a little bit of drag, but not enough to take away from the experience. The toy doesn't have much of a smell, although when I first got it there was a very subtle plastic smell which went away after washing it once or twice. Sadly, this material is sticky, just like jelly, but you don't have to worry much about getting your dildo covered in hair since it has a suction cup to keep it upright.

The toy is only shaped realistically; it does not feel realistic, although the ribs on this toy DEFINITELY make up for that. The texture is very noticeable and feels fantastic, but it shouldn't be too much for a beginner since the ribs are smooth and spaced apart.

The thing I like about this toy is that, while it's flexible, it won't flop around and is firm enough to sit up straight. I find it annoying when toys aren't firm enough to stay up, but I don't want something too rigid. I find that this toy is the perfect middle ground between hard and soft toys.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is absolutely gorgeous. There are three color choices, and while that's not a lot, the color options are nice; there's pink, purple, and orange (I got orange). The orange is very vibrant, and the opaque parts of the toy are very clear. As pretty as this toy is, however, it's not as large as I was hoping it'd be.

If you're looking for something longer, keep looking. The toy can be inserted up to four inches, and its thickness would be better suited for a beginner.

This toy isn't discreet at all; it's realistic, aside from the ribs along the shaft, and can be identified very easily despite its coloring. I definitely wouldn't suggest bringing this with you on a plane trip.

Performance

I was really excited to finally get a toy with a suction cup, and once it arrived at my house, I decided to test it, sticking it to walls and the various other hard surfaces of my home. The suction cup is strong, as far as suction goes, but it seems to be falling off of the toy already, which is a huge bummer, although it still seems to be sturdy (for now).

That said, this toy has a nice, wide base, so it's safe for anal play, although it can't be used in a harness since the suction cup is rather big and in the way. Also, the base of this toy makes a great handle so the toy doesn't slip away during use, which is great.

Care and Maintenance

The 'Silicone' in 'Silicone Crystal Cote' is a bit of a misnomer; it's TPR silione, which the EF materials scale says is a 'silicone based rubber compound'. While the material isn't the best (TPR silicone is a six out of ten on the EF material scale), it could be worse, and if you're worried about it you could always put a condom on it.

Packaging

Just like most of the toys I've gotten from Edenfantasys, the Silicone crystal Cote arrived in a plastic, clam-shell package, although it was also wrapped up in a plastic bag too. There isn't anything special about this packaging; it's shaped to fit the toy and it's recyclable. Since the packaging is very penis-shaped, you can't use it as a gift box, but it makes for a great storage container.
