Silky bendable you

Silky indeed does have a silky feel with a nice mixture of texture and softness. What sets it apart from other dildos is that you can bend it to your liking and it will stay in that configuration as long as you use it. It could be a perfect fit for those looking for a modestly sized dildo with an bendable shaft.

Use

Silky is a good choice for those who want a medium sized toy with a bit of texture. This dildo can be shaped to the curve that pleases you. Whether you prefer a straight or highly curved dildo, Silky can meet that need.

Silky is safe for both vaginal or anal, or as the instructions refer to it, "alternative" use.

Material / Texture

Silky is an elastomer dildo. Although the veins on its surface provide a bit of textural stimulation, it is soft and squishy. No one will be bothered by its texture, even those who don't like texture. Silky's material is not so soft however to prevent you from feeling the veins. You will indeed feel them.

When silky arrived it looked like it was covered with a fine white powder. I tried to wash this off, but there actually is no powder. That is just a feature of Silky's surface.

On its underside, right under its head, a small happy face is inscribed.

Silky is completely unscented.

Design / Shape / Size

Silky is a modestly sized toy. The shaft is 5 inches in circumference at the widest point, tapering to 4 1/2 inches right before the head.. Its head is pronouncedly larger than the top of the shaft though, measuring at 5 inches in circumference. The packaging states that it was rated "best size" by Vibratex's happy customers.

It has a thick base which is also composed of the same soft elastomer material. If the base isn't too thick for your particular harness, it should feel quite comfortable in one.

Running through its center is a thick wire. The wire appears to be about 3/16ths of an inch in diameter. The wire connects to a metal plate in Silky's base, allowing it to hold a bend along nearly its entire length. Only the tip of the head is unwired. Silky is easy to bend and stays in place well once bent.

Performance

Silky feels quite good for a dildo this size. My first session with it was remarkable. Each time after that hasn't been as notable. I'm not sure why. Lately I've found myself wishing for a firmer toy when I use it.

I've experimented with bending it into different positions. It feels terrible to me when there is much of a bend in Silky, so I've never left it bent for very long. It did not lose its bend during my tests however.

The thick base makes a nice handle to grip during use. The base has a seam running around it which is at the same level where the plate attaches. One small section of that seam is starting to open. Its just a small opening right now. I can't say whether it will continue to open further with use.

Care and Maintenance

Elastomer is a somewhat porous material so be sure to use a condom when sharing this toy with others or when using it in more than one orifice.

To clean it, simply wash it with soap and water and towel or air dry.

The instructions caution not to store Silky alongside vinyl toys. I plan to store it in the plastic bag that came with it.

Any lube is safe to use with this product.

I absolutely love my Silky. It was the first sex toy my husband ever bought me that I loved instead of disliked, so Silky is responsible for launching my fascination with sex toys! I should buy another one to keep on reserve for when my old one wears out . . . It would be a shame to lose a first love!

Great review Tuesday! I like the bendable softness sometimes in contrast to unyeilding glass. Mix it up! Thanks for the awesome info you have provided.

Wow, I LOVE this dildo when it's bent so the bulbous head hits my g-spot. How odd you don't like any bend while using this product. Fantastic review as usual! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY

Thanks for the review! Just wanted to add that it isn't compatible with all lubricants. Silicone lube is an enemy of Silky, and you should probably steer clear of oil based lubes as well because they can get into the pores and go rancid.

Rawhide, I believe you but the material guide says that silicone is ok for elastomer products. But I didn't test this. I always used water based lubes. Good to know! Thanks.

  • Silky as packer...??
    • Hey, I've heard of someone using the silky as a packer before I think. Has anyone tried this?
    • This doesn't belong in the vibrator section...

But since you asked, I LOVE packing with Silky. It's basically the only cock that I know of that is comfortable for packing, functional for fucking, and made of non-disgusting material. The key is it's flexible spine, which allows it to bend and hold different positions, like a down position for packing and an up position for fucking. The downside is that the spine can break, but Silky's not that expensive to replace every once and awhile.

There are plenty of flexible silicone harness-compatible cocks (Vixskin, O2, etc) out there that can fuck but don't pack well, and there are soft cocks (Mr. Right, Mr. Limpy, or the VIP Super Soft) that can pack but don't fuck well. And there are a few other cocks with bendable spines, but they're made of disgusting materials that leech chemicals. Silky is made of high quality elastomer, which is porous and not as good as silicone, but way better than the alternatives.

In summary: pack with Silky! He's the best!
