Silly Putty in my Hands

The Nature Bruce by JOYDIVISION is a very nice, strong, large vibrator that is meant for vaginal use. It is made in Germany out of 100% medical grade silicone. While not the prettiest toy in the box, the size and strength of it's vibrations makes this a worthwhile toy to own.

Use

The Nature Bruce is a vibrator that is meant mostly for vaginal use. It is definitely large and not might not be suitable for beginners or those who need a smaller girth. But if you like your toys big, this is your vibe. It might be possible to used this for anal play if you can handle the size and have a partner making sure it doesn't go in too deep, because it does not have a flared base.

Material / Texture

This vibrator is made of 100% medical grade silicone. It is dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic, phthalate free, and completely body safe.

The silicone on this vibrator does give a little if you squeeze it, and it will bend slightly with firm pressure. But otherwise it is quite firm.

It is phallic looking but not very realistic. Actually it looks, and kind of feels, more like a large lump of silly putty that was molded with someone's hands. The texture is somewhat velvety and slightly tacky.

It also has a 1 inch base that is made of hard plastic.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Nature Bruce looks like a phallic silicone dildo mounted on a vibrator body. As I said before this is a large toy. It is 7 1/2 inches long with 6 1/2 of the being insertable. And it's girth is 1 3/4 inches diameter. But when inserted, it feels like more than that even. That's probably due to the fact that it's so firm.

This is by no means a discreet toy. If anyone ever saw it they would know exactly what it is and what it's for.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This is a dial based vibrator. So there are many levels of vibration strength, ranging from very mild to fairly powerful. They are strong deep vibrations but with a high pitched frequency, as opposed to a deep thuddy type. The dial is at the bottom of the base and is very easy to use.

As far as I can tell the motor is located near the base. I say that because that's where they feel the strongest. But the silicone does carry the vibrations well and they are felt throughout the whole toy. This is also a fairly quiet vibrator. I doubt anyone could hear what you're doing through a closed door. But if someone was in the same room, they would definitely be able to hear it.

This runs on 2 AA batteries. The base screws off to insert them. It's quite easy to do, but there are no + or - symbols in the toy to tell you which one is supposed to be up and which is supposed to be down. The instruction booklet showed that there is supposed to be one positive side up and one negative side up. So I just tried putting them in and found it worked. And then I tried switching them around and it worked again. So I guess you don't have to worry which one is up and which one is down.

This is not a waterproof vibrator. It is splash-proof though. So as long as you're careful cleaning should be fairly easy.

Care and Maintenance

Speaking of cleaning, just some soap and water should do the trick. Silicone is nonporous but this is a vibrator so it cannot be sterilized. So if you will be sharing this toy, a condom would be a good idea.

The only types of lubes that should be used with silicone toys are waterbased ones. Silicone lubes can ruin silicone toys.

Packaging

The packaging on this was pretty nice. It came in a shiny silver cardboard box with a window on the front showing the vibrator.

What really impressed me was the fact that it came with a very thorough instruction manual in seven languages, and a 50ml tube of a lubricant called Aquaglide.

Personal comments

Some things I want to mention that didn't seem to fit anywhere else are that this toy is made in Germany by a company called JOYDIVISION. It has a 5 year materials warranty and a 2 year warranty on all other parts. I think that's quite impressive.

Also the AquaGlide lube that came with it, was a great and unexpected addition. I kind of like it. It sort of reminds me of Maximus in consistency and thickness. But it has a bit of a funny medicinal smell. The tube says it's a medical lubricant gel. So maybe that's why.

Experience

And finally, here's what I personally thought of this vibrator.

Well my first impression was that it was fugly. And the silicone texture felt different than what I'm used to. Definitely firmer with less give than most silicone toys.

But after putting a paper bag over it's head and giving it a try (metaphorically speaking, of course) I really liked it. The firmness made this toy feel more like it had about 2 inches of girth inside me. But even though it is firm, it's ability to bend a little helped it to fit well in my body. The vibrations, though not over the top strong, were very pleasant and strong enough. And they were so deep that I could feel them all the way through to the outside of my body. I did need to use the highest setting. I also tried it externally, but for whatever reason, it just didn't work well for that. And this toy by itself did not get me over the top. But when I used it in conjunction with a clit vibe I had an incredibly strong orgasm.

So when all is said and done, this is a very nice vibrator.
Follow-up commentary
This toy is still working really well. I recently went through my toys to organize the ones I wanted to keep and store the ones I hardly ever use, and this one definitely was a keeper. Ugly as it may be, it does a very nice job of satisfying me.

You can sterilize/sanitize a silicone vibe by using a ten percent bleach solution. Smile

Thank you Carrie! That is a great idea. I will remember that from now on. I was just thinking that you can't put something like that in the dishwasher or boiling water.

ArmyWife Kira, I does, doesn't it? Thanks!

Thanks for the great review. This looks like a vibe with a bit of an identity crisis.......but the warranty is almost unheard of for adult toys. A nice bonus!
