Size matters and this toy is not for the faint of heart

A good toy for anal stimulation, but not for everyone. Size will be a plus for some and a frustration for others, so you need to have a realistic expectation of what your body is capable of.

Use

The Share XL is a double-ended dildo which can be used either with a partner or solo. It could be used for either strap-on sex or for pegging. It is intended to be used without the need for a harness; however, it can be used with a harness if you desire a bit more stability. In my opinion, this toy is on the large size with respect to anal use, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with limited pegging experience.

Material / Texture

The toy is made from 100% silicone, which requires the use of a water based lube. For vaginal insertion, I would recommend a glycerin-free, water-based lube, as lube containing glycerin may cause vaginal infections.

The material is firm, but it does have some give to it, which is a plus for anal play. The material itself has a smooth texture although the toy does have multiple ridge-like features molded into it. It has no real discernible odor or taste.

Design / Shape / Size

As the name implies, this toy is about size. Before anyone considers purchasing this toy, I strongly recommend that they use the great 1:1 feature on EdenFantasys in order to get a good grasp of the size of this toy. My wife's first time trying to insert the G-spot bulb into her vagina was difficult for her even with considerable lube. Once she did manage to get it fully seated, it was not comfortable for her and thus did not make the experience enjoyable for us. Since then, it has been relegated to her using it on me or solo use.

With regards to anal use, depending on your experience/comfort level, you may need to use some smaller toys to warm up for this one. Copious amounts of lube are recommended. I found that the ridges on the toy made the initial insertion of the toy somewhat challenging; however, once you had it in, they added a pleasurable sensation during use. I found this toy to provide a very good sense of fullness once inserted and provided good P-spot stimulation.

When using solo, the other end does make for a convenient handle.

Performance

This toy works well for those who have experience with anal play and are capable of handling the size of this toy. It provides a good sense of fullness once inserted and good P-spot stimulation. The ridges, while making initial insertion challenging for me, provided nice stimulation of the anus during use. Vibration would have been a nice feature, but not a critical loss.

As mentioned above, we have only tried to use this toy once for pegging and due to the discomfort my wife experienced, she isn't too keen on trying again anytime soon with this toy.

I have been told that it is harness compatible and that one should considering using it with a harness if they feel that it's not stable enough otherwise.

Care and Maintenance

Being 100% silicone, it can be cleaned with antibacterial soap, a 10% bleach solution, by boiling, or by placing in the top rack of the dishwasher. If you choose to use the dishwasher method, be sure to turn off any heated drying option that your dishwasher may have. It should only be air-dried.

Particular care also needs to be paid to the base of the ridges when cleaning, as material does tend to build up in those areas.

The box that the toy came in is actually quite nice and can be used to store the toy if desired.

Packaging

The packaging which the toy came in was actually quite nice, heavy paperboard. There is a flap on the front of the box which can be opened to reveal a window, through which the toy is displayed. One could use this box to store the toy if they so desired.

There were limited instructions provided with packaging.

The packaging did include a sample packet of the Fun Factory's brand of lube. I found it to be a bit too thin for my liking.

@ Mistress Kay,
I was curious about the regular Share. The dimensions for the G-spot bulb are listed to be the same as the XL, but the XL has an extra ridge. I'm not sure if this ridge was contributing to my wife's issue or not. Comparing on the 1:1 view they appear to be similar in size on that end. It could just be specific to her individual anatomy.

@Brian, the dimensions shown on the website list them as being the same. I also visually compared the share XL to the 1:1 view of the share and again they looked pretty similar. The XL does have a little ridge on it that the regular share does not but I don't know if it contributes to her issue.

      all of these are so very expensive, and feeldoes all have terrible reviews, saying they constantly fall out and such. the whole reason i want one is so i dont need to buy a clunky harness. The share XL is the only strapless dildo ive seen that doesnt have any reviews saying theres problems with it falling out!
      If thats the case please tell me! I really want this one now
    • I only have the Share XL... and I have to try pretty hard (basically jumping up and down with my legs open) to get it to budge. The bulb is one of the largest around.
    • I think that they get poor reviews because you need really strong Kegels unless you have a really massive bulb on them. I don't have a feeldoe yet, but I can hold the business end of the Pure Wand and stand up and the size is about the same (The Pure is heavier, though). It's a matter of remembering to hold onto it.

      well we got the share XL and we both love it, It was a little big at first but once we got really turned on it was perfect it made her come quickly and she loved this toy. i also loved the way the bulb end rubbed my G Spot. it was the perfect adition to our collection. :D
    • That was quick work - glad you like it. I think I'd go for the XL as well. The added girth and texture would add quite a bit to the stimulation, especially given the floppiness of the Share series.

      I'm not sure if the giver's end is bigger or not. If so, then it isn't much bigger (the big difference is the ridge).

      The getter's end is about the same *maximum* size on the two toys, but on the normal Share the maximum size is right up near the saddle where the dildos join, so you are less likely to get stretched that far (especially if you don't want to), and you have the whole dildo to open yourself up. The XL is the maximum size along most of its length (and has the ridges).
