Smooth Operator
This is the perfect dildo if you're looking for something that works great for more experienced anal play. It works great with a harness. It would also be great for those that like smaller, smoother dildos for vaginal use.Published: September 15, 2009

I was looking the perfect dildo for my husband and I to share for anal harness use, on him for pegging, on me for double penetration. He needed it to be a decent size and length. I needed it to be smooth and not too big. And, of course, we both wanted it to be 100% silicone. We finally decided on the Tantus Large Silk, and I'm very glad we did.
This dildo is the largest of the Tantus Silk line. It is 7 inches long with 6 ¾ inches of that are insertable. The bottom has a small flared base which I really liked. I've read others saying that they had problems with it in harness use, but I didn't find that to be true for us. The diameter of the shaft is 1 ½ inches with the top being slightly bigger than the shaft, but there is no noticeable head to it. It does have a slight curve for g-spot or p-spot stimulation.
We bought the lavender one, which is a very pretty pearlescent lavender with a bit of darker purple swirls running through it. Of course it is made with Tantus' famous medical grade silicone, which is non-porous, pfhthalate free, hypoallergenic and sterilizable. The Large Silk is very smooth and shiny and fairly non-phallic looking. This dildo is firm enough to make anal penetration easy, but flexible enough that it's not uncomfortable. Because of its size, this might not be for those new to anal penetration. And even those that aren't new to it may need a little bit of a warm up before handling it. Of course this works great for vaginal use as well. I did try it for that but I prefer more texture and size than this offers.
One word of caution, do not use silicone lubricants with silicone toys, it will ruin them. We used it with a good water based lube and found that worked great.
Clean up is very easy. Just wash with soap and warm water, or you can boil it for three minutes or wash in the top rack of the dishwasher to sterilize.

Experience
Like I said, we bought this for pegging and double penetration. We have tried it for both and it worked great. The harness we have is the Sportsheets Latigo Leather. It comes with a 1 ½ inch O-ring, which fit the Large Silk perfectly. We had no problems with feeling that the dildo was not stable during thrusting. Because of its shape and smoothness, we found that anal penetration was quite easy and pleasurable with the Large Silk. And I can say with out hesitation that we both love it. This dildo was definitely a very good buy!

The Spare Parts Joque can strech to a diameter up to 2" and the "silk large" has a diameter of 1 1/4, so it should fit just fine :)

My wife and I have also have the sil large, and we both love it as well!
My question for you though, is that after reading your review, I didn't really see you discuss any negatives about it, and didn't list any cons, so why only stars? As far as I'm concerned, this is a 5 star in my book, but would be curious to know what downfalls you experiences with it leading to a four star rating?

That's a good point. I guess the only thing I can think of is that I usually only give 5 stars to toys that really "wow" me. But there are no cons or drawbacks as far as I'm concerned. And it is a great toy.
Do you think this will be the dildo-of-choice for pegging or do you think you may want to try another? I've thought about getting this one for our pegging purposes, but I like the idea of having some texture which this one doesn't have.

Yes I think this is it along with the Tango that we already have. But keep in mind that he wanted something larger and longer, texture was not an issue for him.
