Mistress - dildo by Vixen Creations, Inc - review by tripod

For those of you, who haven't had the pleasure, meet the Mistress by Vixen Creations. She is a multi-purpose strap on, strap off, however you prefer to use her dildo. You can use this on a partner, by yourself, or your partner can use it on you, whichever way you want. Vaginally or anally this is a great toy for the beginner to intermediate crowd, although if you are aiming to use it anally I would say transitioning from beginner into intermediate. Although I'm sure none of those who classify themselves as advanced users would have a problem enjoying this lovely dildo in all its supple silicone glory as well.

As for my “you can use it anally” comment let me clarify: the Mistress has a base that is wide, sturdy, with measurements provided below. For those newcomers to anal toys looking to explore unchartered territories please remember that having a base or a stopper of any sort is a key factor in your decision making. Without a base, handle, or something to stop a toy from traveling upward you risk the chance of your bum swallowing said toy. I'm not kidding, save yourself a hospital visit and heed this warning.

The Mistress is made of supple, high quality silicone that is, for lack of a better word, yummy. When it comes to toy manufacturing silicone is a top quality material as its phthalates free, non-porous, hypoallergenic, the works. This is not going to smell funny before or after use, as long as it’s properly cleaned, nor will it have a taste to it. There is, however, a bit of a drag when you touch the Mistress, though this was not noticeable for me upon insertion. I think since its still shiny and new once it dulls a bit the drag will whittle down.

This dildo is great for all users at any level; it has a good insertable length, a circumference none too intimidating for beginners but also not something that will leave most advanced users wanting. As an added bonus that material is so soft and plushy it can easily be maneuvered with your wants and needs: g-spot stimulations sure! P-spot stimulation why not! As you can see from the pictures below its flexible enough to touch tip to base, but firm enough that my squeezing the head hardly made a difference. Some firmness is important for anal use, we wouldn't want the Mistress to be wobbly upon insertion and ruin the mood.

While the Mistress is offered in a more fleshy tone there is also a clear sparkly version, a new gold color, and the purple which I own. The Mistress in purple is marvelously shiny with the color seemingly rippling through the dildo in varying dark hues of purple and black. The design has a slight curve to it that doesn't make it specifically for g-spot use but it could be maneuvered to stimulate your g-spot if you desire. I would however watch out if you have a low pelvic bone as this might get caught, better safe than sorry. The size is a good length for anyone, I personally can only take so much length before things go from pleasure to discomfort so 6 ¼ was perfect. Depending on how large of a circumference you prefer for your toys vaginally I would say this is swell for most users but not necessarily for all advanced users.

For those of you that are on the fence about realistic dildos not wanting a toy that's too realistic but not quite a texture queen this is perfect for you. It has slightly pronounced bump at the head similar to an actual penis and seam-like bump on the back. But the color, base, and smoothness help the Mistress to straddle the fine line between realistic and artistic dildo. I would not recommend traveling with this toy, a TSA agent searching your bag would have no problem figuring out what it is. Ditto on leaving it laying around when you have guests over.

The best thing about this toy is the material, now I own silicone toys but this is a very fine silicone with detailed coloring patterns that makes every Mistress unique. When inserted it isn't too rough on my body or so soft I'm longing for something else. It molds to me to a degree that is not at all uncomfortable unlike some toys I've had in the past that took time to get used to. But I do hate that fact that it collects so much lint. Seriously this thing has to be some high grade silicone because while I know this material attracts lint, I've never quite seen it like this before. Within seconds of pulling this out of the box I watched little fibers cling to my Mistress, I'm recommending users wash this before playing with it.

Another thing I absolutely love about this toy is that it has a suction cup. The suction cup is almost ½ an inch of the dildo's non insertable length and has the adorable detail of the Vixen Creations logo, which I was unable to catch on camera. It holds really well too, in the picture above of me bending the Mistress from head to base, the base is holding on to the wall. Furthermore I applied this to my bedroom desk to push back on during solo use and it stayed perfectly still, no slip ups.

Since this is 100% silicone making it non-porous and it doesn't have any design element that includes knooks and crannies it will be high up there on toys that are extremely easy to clean. I boil min in hot water but you can also clean it using 10% bleach solution or use soap and hot water. Vixen Creations is kind enough to create a sturdy plastic cylinder for this toy which is supposed to “maintain shape.” I don't know what will happen if this isn't in the cylinder but that sounds ominous. Anyhow that's where I'm keeping mine.

Vixen Creations provides a sturdy plastic cylinder that has red trimming on the top and bottom. While it is not the most discreet package and I would not recommend pulling this out of the delivery box while company is over, it's still pretty sweet. The only thing that kinda sucks is that the cylinder was difficult to open and close what with the slight wobble of the plastic and the fact that this is a tightly sealed product. This feature is probably to help keep the lint from sneaking in and attaching itself to the Mistress. Bonus points for including a lifetime warranty. Should your product not provide you with a lifetime of use the company will happily replace it, just remember to keep the receipt.

The packaging also has the Vixen Creations logo, phone number, email, fax, etc. Obviously if they went through so much trouble with contact information instructions would be provided. They affirm what I stated above : wash with soap and water or sterilize in boiling water for three minutes. And never, ever, ever, use this toy with silicone based lube.
