For me, personally, the best way to use the Blue Swirl glass dildo is vaginally. I have used it anally once, but didn't get too far as it was too big for my liking. If you do choose to use the Blue Swirl for anal play, be very cautious as the base isn't flared out so you could run into getting the dildo stuck in your anal cavity. You could use this dildo really anytime you wanted toy play, but for me, I use this piece on occasion maybe 2-3 times a year - sad, I know. When using glass toys, since they are solid and don't have any give to them, be very careful when thrusting. If you aren't careful when thrusting with glass toys and are too rough, you can bruise your cervix, which could be pretty painful. I have not had this problem. Because of this, if you choose to use them with a partner, let them know the boundaries and how hard to thrust. I personally didn't let my partner ever use the glass dildo on me for fear of them hurting me, since a lot of men don't know their own strength.

This particular dildo is made out of Pyrex glass. There was no smell present upon receiving this beauty. It was very smooth, with ridges in it from the swirls, so it provides a decent amount of texture for those of you who enjoy that.

I did not taste the item, but I would assume there is no taste to it. Again, I can't say yes/no on this one.

The Blue Swirl isn't a realistic dildo and doesn't feel real. This item is very firm and I would say that this could be used by beginners and advanced users. I personally bought this as my first glass toy and I have no regrets.

The design is very simple. It has a wonder bulb head so that it makes for easy insertion. The shape works really well, and there are no curves, so this isn't for g-spotting. For most people, the size of this shouldn't be a problem. I would say the average person could use it.

This item was filling for me. I would say that this isn't really a discreet item, as it has a bulb head. Personally, I wouldn't travel with this for fear of it getting broken.

The best thing about this toy is that you can use it for temperature play. When doing temperature play, for cooling of the toy, I would melt some ice in water or toss it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. I would NOT put it in the freezer. As we all know, with freezing conditions with ice or even a pole, if you stick your tongue to it, you may end up stuck! We don't want you to do this to your body, especially your sensitive body parts. To heat it up, I would use the hottest tap water you have, but do NOT boil it. You can get uneven heating and cook your insides which would cause MAJOR damage.

Care and maintenance for this is easy for me, but it could be a little harder for others when it comes to cleaning the grooves between all the swirls. I used a antibacterial toy cleaner. Other ways to clean this or sterilize it is by boiling the Blue Spiral in hot water, washing it in your dishwasher, a water/bleach solution, or simple antibacterial soap and hot tap water.

For storage, I would either purchase a padded pouch or slip it into your lingerie drawer so it has less chance of getting broken. Mine has been stored in my panty drawer for the past few years with no breaks, scratches or chips.

Lubes that can be used with this piece are water-based, silicone, and oil-based.

I don't remember what the packaging looked like for this piece, as I bought it a few years ago. I do know the packaging at that time wasn't suitable for storing the toy, as it got tossed.

My overall experience with this toy has been very pleasurable and I recommend it to others who are in the market for a glass piece. I will also say that if you drop this, it won't break. If it does break, it won't shatter or splinter; it just breaks into big chunks.
