I was excited when I received Purr, my new toy. It stood out boldly in a clear package with minimal decorations, inviting me to come and play. This, I thought to myself, was going to be a good dildo. It’s about six and a half inches, very firm and dense, and ribbed up the entire length of the shaft. Since it’s silicone, it’s easy to clean. It comes with a bullet that I found almost impossible to take out, however; it was stuck in there pretty tight! I eventually had to lube it up and keep twisting it until it would slide out.

Running the shaft through my hand, I couldn’t help but shiver in delightful anticipation. My first time trying it, I got myself warmed up a bit first before lubing it up and slipping the toy into myself with some difficulty. It ended up hurting a lot, but I figured that would go away as I went on, sliding it in and out of myself deftly. Unfortunately, it did not.

Purr was much too hard for its size. Other toys I’ve used of its size have been squishier, yielding to my muscles. This dildo pushed back against me, ribs along the shaft not even pleasant but instead very uncomfortable. Instead of feeling full as I have with other dildos, I felt stretched. I’ve used wider toys but was able to warm up to them very fast. I wasn’t able to warm up to this.

Despite the discomfort, I continued pushed on, and after much longer than usual, I came. This was another disappointment; not only was my orgasm long to reach, but it was also short and not very powerful. The dildo had a slight curve but unfortunately not enough to stimulate my g-spot. The vibrations really didn’t help; I could feel them closer to the shaft, but I could only barely feel them along the top. At times, the vibrations seemed almost pointless since they didn’t really contribute. I ached for a little while after using the toy.

After using this toy the first time, I waited another week before trying again. This time I slid a condom on, added some more lube, and tried again. I received very similar results—some pain, less than adequate orgasm, and some mild aching afterwards. I ended up using a smaller vibe to stimulate my clitoris, which helped a little. When it came down to it, this toy just really did not do it for me.
