Pipedreams makes beautifully crafted and affordable glass dildos. This review is for the Icicles No. 8 glass dildo. I chose this one from the Facebook Eden Fantasys Promotion and I am so happy that I did! Ever since I bought my first glass toy last month I've become hooked! Icicles No. 8 is intended for solo play vaginal penetration but it can also be used for anal play because of the bulbous end or what I call the handle. It can be used by couples as well because of the sleek, smooth design. This dildo is a great pick for those just beginning to experiment with glass while it can be appreciated by the experienced user as well.

Material/Texture
Icicles No. 8 is made of hypo-allergenic, non-porous, phthalates free, latex-free, food grade material Pyrex glass. Basically that means that this toy is 100% body safe. This glass is extremely strong but take care not to drop it on a hard surface, as it might chip or possibly break. I've dropped mine on the wood floor and it didn't harm it. This glass is made to break in large chunks, not shatter into a million pieces. But don't let the word glass discourage you, this toy (and other glass toys) are amazing!

Icicles No. 8 is tapered down the shaft in a wavy type of pattern. There is no texture to this wand, it is as smooth as you can get. There is no bad smell or taste to the glass (well to be honest I didn't feel the need to taste it!). Of course glass is hard and stiff so there is no bending/flexing but that is the point-firmness.

Design/Shape/Size
Icicles No.8 is a beautiful glass wand. It is hand-crafted and though very similar there are slight differences in the inner design of each toy. This gorgeous wand is sleek and elegant with it's iridescent look and twisting blue design, stretching from one end to the other and seems to sparkle when the light hits it. The shape is tapered from tip to bulbous handle in a wave like design. The only girth to this toy is the handle end, the rest of the toy is sleek and slender. This wand is non-intimidating, cute and petite. The measurements are:

Circumference: 3 1/4" / 4 3/4"
Diameter: 1 1/2" / 1"

Performance
Icicles No.8 is such a delight to own! I absolutely love the wavy design of this toy and it is great for thrusting. You can feel the wavy-ness of the toy as it glides in and out of your vagina but it isn't distracting or uncomfortable. It fits comfortably in your hand and isn't too long. The smoothness of the sleek, non-textured surface is pleasing. I only insert it by the slender end but it can be used with the bulbous end going in first if desired. The shape of this toy looks like it would be safe to use for anal play but I can't give you input on that as I don't use toys for anal pleasure. This toy feels great when it is cool and gives a bit of an exciting rush as it enters your warm body and eventually gets up to body temperature. Glass toys are great for temperature play be it hot or cold. Stick it in the freezer or a sink/bowl of cold water for a chilly icicle treat, or use hot water or the microwave on a low setting.

Care and Maintenance
Glass is very easy to care for. You can use any type of lubricant with it and for cleaning/sanitizing you can toss it in the dishwasher, use mild soap and water or a toy cleaner. I like to store it in a soft pouch so it doesn't bang up against my other glass toys when I put them away in my larger toy bag.



Packaging
Pipedream's Icicles No. 8 comes in a very nice display box with a Styrofoam insert that hugs the toy. It is nice enough to be kept for storage if you want. The front of the box opens to display the toy. I wish it would have came with a storage bag but it didn't, so I had to use something I already had.
