Tempted by a serpent - a REALLY BIG serpent!

Overall, while the shape and design are the absolute best I've found, the material adds very little to the experience and actually detracts from it in its sticky feel, high-maintenance, and risk of exposure to phthalates. However, it's a big, beautiful toy and will hopefully prove to be worth the trouble, being both visually and physically stimulating. I have no regrets about adding it to my collection. If it weren't for the choice of material, it'd have five stars, hands down!

Use

Adam's PleasureSkin Cock, by Adam & Eve of Topco Sales, is a fairly large, realistic dildo. I would not recommend it to beginners as its length and girth are quite intimidating. They're also a massive turn-on, but more on that later. ;) This toy is meant to be inserted, vaginally or anally (if you're VERY brave). It has a large base that will make it impossible to lose inside of you, but I would suggest some serious warm up before attempting to take this guy on. The suction cup base is rather effective when attached to the right kinds of surfaces. If not in use, it provides a decent hand-hold for thrusting and is also harness compatible. My recommendation...No matter where you want to put it, make sure you use *plenty* of lube!

Material / Texture

The material used here is a variety of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) called PleasureSkin, which is designed to mimic the feel of real flesh. The surface of this toy is soft and veinated. I don't find the veins to be prominent enough to be felt when in use, but they're certainly a nice inclusion and add significantly to the toy's visual appeal. The head is slightly squishy, while the inner core of the shaft feels incredibly firm and stiff and completely ready to hold up to as much pounding as your various entrances can take. The balls are also very firm, providing less realism, but more of a sturdy, durable base. When this toy is lubed up, it truly feels real...

On the negative end of the spectrum, I did notice some flaws in the molding, including small creases, bubbles, and tiny bits of darker coloration (one in the tip and a couple on the shaft). Along the edge of the head there was a seam that I had to peel off, but it came off easily and looks fine. Despite the realistic design of the mold, I found the material to be less smooth and skin-like than I expected. It's rather sticky and even after washed and dried, it has a tacky, greasy kind of feel to it. Therefore, the surface attracts *everything*, from lint to strands of hair. I also have to note that this toy has a very distinctive, unpleasant odor. It seems to have faded very slightly over the time I've had it and I hope it continues to do so. Finally, PleasureSkin products MAY contain phthalates, which are chemicals used to soften plastics. Phthalates have been linked to several environmental and individual health issues.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is hefty, to say the least. It weighs a pound and a half and boasts a total length of nine inches, including the suction cup base, with 6 1/4" of insertable length and a diameter of 1 7/8". Adam is a big boy and not for the faint of heart (or for beginners who are new to the world of insertable sex toys). The shape of it is delightful, with a prominent, detailed head complete with a little divot at the very tip. It then widens some to its thickest point midway down the shaft before narrowing again slightly where it joins to the lovely, realistically wrinkled balls. This toy is not discreet in the slightest and would be quite inconvenient and completely conspicuous to travel with! It is a rather large, heavy, erect penis, after all :/ I can't imagine toting that around in my purse or leaving it laying out on my bedside table when I have friends over!

Performance

The Adam PleasureSkin Cock is a delicious addition to my collection of toys. It is fairly large, so it's not something I find myself using very often, but when I need to feel that lovely stretch, this toy feels incredible inside of me and truly does its job of filling me up to the brim. The built-in suction cup base and the body of the toy are all molded as one piece, so I have no concerns about it coming apart. The sturdy, well-made base is harness compatible, but I'm afraid I have zero experience with that, so I can't discuss its performance in that respect. However, I did do some experiments, sticking the suction cup to various surfaces...It did not stick to the fake wood paneling on my dormitory dresser or desk. It will stick somewhat to the painted walls, but does not hold up through vigorous motion. The best places to stick it seem to be glass or smooth, slick surfaces such as shower walls ;) I found that dampening the base some around the rim helps to aid in suction and create a more complete seal.

I will touch on its performance and my feelings on it a bit more in the "Experience" section.

Care and Maintenance

Unfortunately, this toy requires quite a bit of maintenance. I don't find PleasureSkin to be the most realistic or enjoyable material, honestly, so I'm uncertain whether or not the extra work is worth it for me in the long haul. The instructions on the packaging read: "Wash after each use with liquid anti-bacterial soap and water. Pat dry with soft, cotton towel and allow to air dry completely." I would recommend washing this toy off before *and* after each use, just to be on the safe side. As I mentioned earlier, the PleasureSkin surface of this toy is extremely sticky and attracts dust, crumbs, lint, hair, and whatever else you've got around, so I personally feel that patting it dry is counter-productive. Just let it air dry. You can powder the surface (once it's dried) with cornstarch, helping to tone down the stickiness and preserve the surface of the toy. Never use talcum powder or baby powder, as these can cause irritation and other problems for women. I would also suggest wrapping it in a cloth or keeping it in its own separate bag to protect it from the "elements". ;)

Be careful to only use water-based lubricants with this (and all your toys, to be on the safe side). Silicone- and oil-based lubricants can damage the material. If you plan on sharing this toy or using it both vaginally and anally, be sure to cover it with a condom as it is extremely porous, offering lots of places for bacteria, dirt, and germs to hide out, and cannot be completely sterilized. Please, take care.

Packaging

The dildo comes in easy-to-open, clam-shell style plastic packaging, which is not really conducive to being used as a gift or storage box. A cardboard insert frames the large cock, depicting a blonde-haired, blue-eyed model peeking out from behind the small sample of Adam & Eve Signature Lubricant (which I have yet to try). The very bottom of the package includes a list of the ingredients in the included lube sample: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea.

Back to the front of the package! At breast level on our bland-...I mean *blonde* model, there is a nipple-shaped example of PleasureSkin protruding from the plastic so that you can get a feel for the material before you buy. Topco Sales, Adam & Eve Signature Toys, proclaims across the bottom of the package that this dildo is "The dick of your dreams"! On the back, they detail the selling points of the toy and give care instructions, which I included above. Please be sure to recycle the plastic shell and cardboard insert that your Adam's Pleasureskin Cock is packaged in!

I'll never understand why companies insist on putting out packaging with "hot", chesty, blonde women. I believe the vast majority of the customer base for dildos is likely comprised of people (male or female) who are interested in men...Thus the purchase of a penis-shaped sex toy-...But I digress.

Personal comments

Truthfully, I was a little disappointed that this item didn't appear very similar to the images displayed on the site. It seems to be painted, but it's not nearly as well-done or as noticeable as it is in the "glamour shots" here on EF. The entire toy is much more pink than it appears here. True to the photos, it has a glossy, shiny surface, which is not my favorite. I prefer a matte surface that looks more like skin, but I was willing to try it for this toy. I had to see what all the hype was about! I enjoy this toy, but I would enjoy it even more if it were more similar to the photos and made of a less sticky, shiny material, like New Supersoft, which is also a variety of TPE. I find this material to be much more realistic, much softer, and much less sticky.

Experience

When I first picked up this item at the post office, I ran back to my car, locked myself in, and tore into the shipping box and pulled out the plastic packaging containing my brand new Adam's PleasureSkin Cock!       I would honestly keep Adam in a Ziploc bag . I keep all of my porous toys in their own Ziploc bag, because they attract lint and dirt like crazy. Plus, it keeps the toy as clean as a porous toy can be. If you want to keep Adam in a padded bag like the one in your link, I suggest going with the 12". The balls and suction cup take up more room than you think. Adam is going to collect a lot of lint from that bag though. It is going to be a very snug fit. Hope all goes well in your search. :D

    • There isn't really a "special" harness to use with this. Basically, you just have to find any harness that you like the look of that has an O-ring of two inches. :) Most harnesses won't support the two-inch diameter of this dildo, so just make sure you check on that before you purchase.

      If you do go with the Adam's Pleasureskin Cock you should use condoms, both to keep the toy clean (Pleasureskin is porous, so it can't be sanitized or fully cleaned) and to keep chemicals away from the rectal mucosa (it's not phthalates-free and may have other chemicals that people can be sensitive to).
