The Eighth Wonder of the World

A wonder? Yes. The Violet Wonder is a beautifully made, unique double ended glass dildo with two unique textures designed to have you climbing the walls. Two ends, two amazingly different sensations and one helluva smile.

Use

With two completely different ends this dildo gives you choice. It can be used for solo play or with a partner. Use it as it is or for extra sensations you can experiment with hot and cold as it will heat and cool without a problem or a risk to the glass. You can use it to tease your clitoris with the swirled end running the textured surface over yourself, the slight curve will add in g-spot stimulation also. It can be used anally but be careful as both ends are not flared. The bulbous end makes for an excellent handle to hold onto when thrusting but it is glass and rigid, the curve does add a little control with the thrusting angles. Be gentle and get to know the toy before attempting vigorous thrusting.

Material / Texture

The dildo is made of Pyrex which is a tempered glass. It doesn't smell, it's non porous, phthlates free and resistant to temperature changes so it won't break or shatter if you decide to heat it up or cool it down. It can be heated up on cold nights and chilled down in the warmer months without a problem. The easiest way to do this is to run it under a hot tap or pop it in the freezer for a few minutes, always check the temperature before play and wrap it in a towel until ready to use.

The surface of the toy is smooth to the touch and the texture of the toy gives you two very alternative sensations.

Design / Shape / Size

The Violet Wonder has choice, swirled one end with lots of grooves and bumps and a slight curve on this end makes it perfect for g-spot play, the other end sports four (graduating in size) bulbs, the largest being at the tip of the dildo. It measures 7 3/4" in length with an insertable length of 6 1/2".

Gentle thrusting is all that is required to deliver sensation packed delights. The swirled end is a well structured twist and there are no obtrusive areas, it is definitely a different sensation than a nubbed or bulbed end. The smooth bulbed end is not overwhelming and measures a nice 1 3/8" at the larger bulb. The color is a lovely transparent hue of purple and the rounded end of the dildo makes for a good handle when using the swirled end for play.

The size and length is versatile and is suitable for beginners and advanced toy lovers and the pouch it is stored in is travel friendly.

Performance

Glass dildos are great for conducting vibrations and this is no exception, pop a vibe or if you are really game, a Hitachi on the end of it and see what happens... extra fun can be had. Thrusting is sensational with the textures both ends deliver it will leave you with a grin. The curve is an excellent addition and really enables this toy to be used to stimulate the g-spot really well.

Care and Maintenance

The Violet Wonder is not only versatile with play it's also versatile with cleaning. It's dishwasher safe (top rack, no soap), or you can boil it for 3 minutes or clean with toy cleaner or hot soapy water. You can also clean it with a 10% bleach solution.

Diligence is needed however when cleaning, pay close attention to the grooved areas around the bulbs and in the swirled area. If need be use a designated toothbrush to clean these areas to ensure no germies will be left to lurk.

Lubricant goes a long way with this toy, very little if any is needed. You can use silicone, water or oil based lubricants but if you are playing with other toys during play then make sure the lubricants are compatible with those toys also. If sharing your toy or using anally make sure condoms are used, and make sure any person you may share with knows about meticulous cleaning required.

Packaging

This wee darling arrived encased in a divine black velvet, pink satin lined, drawstring pouch in a simple clear plastic bag. No extra packaging to worry about disposing of, which is always a good thing. The pouch itself is extremely well padded and is discreet enough to pop in a bedside drawer.

Experience

I absolutely love this toy. I have another bulbous glass toy that is great but the swirled end on this dildo is most definitely a new favorite sensation. I also popped the Hitachi on the end to see what it felt like and that sent me off in waves of pleasure. The fact that it has two very different ends means lots of fun experimenting and playtime.
Follow-up commentary
This is one glass toy I still love to bits - the sensations from the curves do it for me every time. It's easy to clean and I store it in the beautiful pouch it came with. The ribbed end is a great warm up and then I normally finish off with the bulbous end. It's just a beautiful toy and still in my 'favourites' pile. It's perfect for traveling and has gone on a couple of excursions with me.

    • Not at all. I love glass! It's non-porous, easy to clean, and it can be sterilized. Plus it doesn't contain any harmful chemicals.

      You do have to use a little bit of care when thrusting, because it's a rigid toy, and if you're too overenthusiastic you could manage to bruise your cervix. If you're playing alone, that's pretty unlikely, because you'll be able to feel what you're doing, though, so it's more of a concern with partners.

      If you're concerned about glass breaking, remember that it's pyrex glass. If you drop it on a hard enough surface, it will break into chunks, not shards, if it breaks at all. It's nearly impossible to break while in use -- it's a solid piece of glass.

      You should always inspect glass toys before use, just to make sure it doesn't have a chip or a stress fracture, just in case, but if you store them with a reasonable amount of care, it's pretty unlikely that they'll get damaged.
