The most decadent orgasm you will ever have
This is an amazing dildo that I look forward to pairing with my favorite clitoral vibrators. It's so nice to find a toy that fits so perfectly inside me, and that stimulates me everywhere I want--I carry it in my purse! What more do I need to say?Published: October 14, 2008
Pros:
Perfectly shaped and wonderfully flexible--it just feels really amazing.
Cons:
While perfect for me, I wonder if the shape and size would fit all women?
A LELO toy isn't just a sex toy. They call it a "pleasure object" for a reason. And from the moment that you open that sleek black box and run your fingers over the smooth curves of the Ella, you'll understand exactly what they mean.
The phthalates-free Ella is uniquely shaped--one end is wide and curved and tapers to a delicate point, while the other end curves up to end in a wide flat head. Both ends can be used to pleasure and stimulate. I tried the tapered end first, lubing the velvet silicone up with water based lube (it is worth noting that since this is a silicone toy, using silicone lubes with it is a major no no), then running it over my sensitive lips. My husband slipped it inside me, teasing me and tantalizing me by slowly moving it in and out of me. It felt amazing, but I really wanted to try that wide flat head. He slid the toy out of me and teased my clitoris with the flat head before sliding it inside of me, pushing it deeper until I gasped because it was perfectly seated and felt amazing!
Though this isn't a very large toy, I found it to be just the right shape and size to fit inside me with the blunt end up against my g-spot. The Ella still deep inside me, my husband pushed the Hitachi Magic Wand against my clitoris, and flipped the vibrations up to the higher level. With the head of the Hitachi positioned right below my clitoris, I found that the flexible Ella transmitted the vibrations right into my g-spot, allowing me to be doubly stimulated. It only took a few seconds with both toys to reach orgasm - I found that by rhythmically clenching around the Ella while approaching the peak, my orgasm was so intense that the muscles in my entire body locked up for a brief moment before leaving me limp and relaxed!
But that wasn't enough--I wanted the ultimate in decadent orgasms. I paired my LELO Lily with the Ella, reveling in the smooth black luxury, and with the Ella inside me, and the Lily pressed against my clitoris, I rode out a most decadent and exquisite orgasm, both physically pleasurable and exquisitely delightful to my feminine sense of style and beauty!
I really do love my LELO toys. Clean up is super easy--antibacterial soap and hot water--you can even toss them in the dishwasher, and please note that you can fully sterilize the Ella and share it with a friend (by boiling it)! Ever since I received my Lily, I've carried it around with me in my purse, and now that I have the Ella--it goes every where I go, too! I love knowing that the most decadent of orgasms is always within reach!

ella vs. others

I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
-
It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.
A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.
The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :) -

How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
-
I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation

Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
-
I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
-
I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
-
i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
-
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
-
What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.
I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D -
If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

Dildo vs. Vibrator
-
I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

Just wondering and thanks! What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.

When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.
Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.
The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.
That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

Ella for beginners

Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

Ella and Gigi

I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?
They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one! -

I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.
They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!
Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need. -
I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.

Thank you for viewing Ella – sex toy review page!

Decadent is a great choice of words. I'm excited that this toy is so cheap, myself.
I've fallen in love with the Ella myself. It's a great value.
How can I not add something that provides "decadent" orgasms to my wishlist?
Thanks for the review!
