Doc Johnson's The Original is an extremely flexible silicone dildo. It is also a very large dildo, and so I would only recommend this item to extremely advanced users. For me, it was too large. If you prefer larger toys, you'll be happy to know that Doc Johnson has made this super sized dildo available in two colors; pink, and beige. I purchased the pretty pink color. It's beautiful (for a pink replica of a penis) in real life, but unfortunately I just can't use this toy in it's intended way.

As it's too large for me to use as a dildo, I sometimes use the toy as a stress reliever. It's flexible, and squishy, so it's fun to squeeze and bend with my hands.

If you can handle the girth of this toy, here's how you can use it.

This toy could be used in both couples and solo situations.

You can use it vaginally. Go slow, and use LOTS of lubricant.

As for anal usage... well, it doesn't have a flared base, but it's also a really long toy, so I truthfully don't see this getting stuck in anyone's rectum. Still, to be on the safe side, it's probably best to not use this in your bum. If you do decide to chance it, make sure you have a firm grip on the toy (with your hand) while you play.

You can also use this toy in the water, as silicone is not harmed by water.

This toy is not harness compatible as it does not have a base. It also does not have a suction cup.

The Original dildo is made out of food-grade silicone, which has a rating of 10 on Eden Fantasy's safety scale. This is an extremely safe material as it is hypo-allergenic, non-porous, and both latex and phthalates free.

As it is non-porous, you can share this toy if you choose to. Just make sure that you disinfect it before and after.

The toy itself is very firm, yet it's squishy and flexible at the same time. I can quite literally bend and twist every inch of this toy, just to give you an idea of how flexible it is.

The dildo is designed to be realistic. It has a veined texture on the body of it, and then there is the large smooth head.

I did not notice any taste or scent coming from toy. The toy also does not seem to hold odors.

The shape of this toy seems decent. The veined texture provides some of realism, though I feel that the pronounced head is a bit too large to be realistic. I want to note here that the veined texture is only on one side of the toy; the opposite side is smooth.

Now moving on to size. As I have mentioned previously, this toy is gigantic. It measures at being just about 8" long, and 5 1/2" in circumference at the widest point. For me, this was too big to use comfortably. Size queens, however, will enjoy the girth.

I would recommend that beginners stay away from this due to how large it is.

This toy is not discreet at all. First of all it is shaped like a cock, and secondly? It's huge! That said, it is still possible to hide this toy as it's small enough to fit in a drawer, or in a pillowcase.

I personally would not travel with this due to how realistic it is.

This is your basic dildo. It's meant to be insertable. It doesn't have any bells and whistles.

As a dildo, this toy would work perfectly, if it fits in you comfortably. For me, using it just hurts too much.

Okay, lets discuss lubricants, as you're going to need a good one with this toy. As this is a silicone toy, you want to stay away from silicone lubricants. Silicone is not compatible with silicone. Instead, you're going to want to use a high quality water-based lubricant. Be generous with the lube -- this is a big boy!

Now caring for caring for The Original is easy to do. You can wash the dildo with warm water and antibacterial soap, or you can use a toy cleaner. You can also disinfect your toy by boiling for 3 minutes, or by throwing it in the top rack of the dishwasher. If you decide to share this toy, make sure you disinfect it.

As for storage? I personally store mine in a plastic ziplock bag (gallon size). There are a few reasons that I do this. First of all, The Original attracts lint and dirt, so keeping him in a plastic bag cuts down on that. Secondly, storing it in a plastic bag keeps it from touching my other silicone toys (which are also stored in plastic bags); doing this helps to protect my toys, and therefore to prolong their lifespans.

This dildo came packaged in a very basic plastic clam-shell casing. The packaging had all of the basic information on it. The toy was clearly visible through the plastic casing, so if you want to hide this? Don't open it around people.

Personally, I would not use this packaging for storage, simply due to the fact that the packaging takes up more space than the toy does. Also, the packaging can be a bit of a pain to open.

When I saw this toy, I fell in love with the pink color, the flexible nature of it, and the fact that many reviewers seemed to speak highly of it. I decided that it must be mine. When I saw that my box from EdenFantasy's had arrived, I eagerly tore into it -- and this is when my jaw dropped, as I saw my new playmate, The Original. I'll be honest, it's so big that I was terrified. After months of trying to use this, I'm still terrified. This toy feels like it is trying to kill me every time I use it, regardless of how turned on I am, and regardless of how much lubricant I use. Lesson learned: Always check the dimensions before you order.

Due to the fact that I can't use this as intended, I am rating the toy on quality. Quality wise, it deserves a 4.
