It's a great dildo for your collection because it feels realistic, and you can do so may things with Throb, and it's made from the highest quality material as well.

Pros:
Black, veiny, multi-purpose cock, good price, firm but not inflexible.

The word Throb makes this dildo sound a little more substantial than it is in actuality. It is actually a smaller scaled dildo designed to be a little something for everyone. Throb stands five and three quarters of an inch long, and an inch and a quarter in diameter, making it an average sized cock. What makes it not average is the bulging veins that tangle around the entire cock like a network of vines entwined around the shaft of a tree. It definitely does wonders to make this average cock into an unusual one.

Throb is a Tantus product that arrives in Tantus' standard plastic box, so that you can view it three dimensionally before you buy it. It curves enticingly upward and is quite firm for a medical grade silicone dildo. The color is a matte black. There's no sheen, it has a slightly velvety texture and no scent.

Throb has a thin flared base, and can stand on its own without falling over. It is nicely balanced, has a proportionate head and realistic frenulum. On a harness, it curves upward toward the G spot. You can turn it upside down for P spotting. This dildo may be a little short for harness fucking, but it feels fantastic anally. It's a good idea to put on a condom before you decide to go throbbing.

It' flexible, but not at all floppy in the least. In a harness, and twisted a bit to its side under a pair of briefs, it makes a great packing dick. It looks pretty realistic under a pair of jeans.

Throb can be used manually, which is probably ideally held by its base. It's firm and curved enough to hit all the good spots without being a cervix bruiser.

Cleaning is the same as all silicone dildos: it can be boiled, it's top shelf dish washer safe, ten percent bleach solution safe as well as anti bacterial soap washable. Because of the viney veins, lube likes to settle in crevices, and it's easily scrubbed out with a soft tooth brush or cloth.
Experience
This is one of my all purpose dildos that I like to pack with, but I prefer a long fat cock for fucking. It's nice to use for solo sex, vaginally or anally. I really love the texture!
Follow-up commentary
It's Kind of on the short side, but has a nice G spotting curve. The texture is still one of the most amazing things about Throb. I think a bullet compartment would make Throb awesome, I am going to carve this baby an insert for a bullet.

  • Best type of dildo
    • What is the best type of dildo to give to a woman who has never used a dildo before?
    • Hmm... I would guess something close to a size she's used to (medium sized if you're unsure on that), with a nice curve, easy to clean, perhaps some texture. The Throb would be a great choice.
    • I think it depends on a couple of things:

--what she wants to do with a dildo (e.g., g-spot vs. thrusting) ... what her hopes and dreams are sexually (cue violin music)

--what she likes and doesn't about material/texture, and I'd guess that lots of people don't know for sure, but they do have an idea

--what your relationship is to her

--how she feels about penises (also, if she has a partner, how they feel about these things. Nothing worse than a sex toy you feel like you can only use behind someone's back because their jealous of your dildo.

So, for example, I like my penises to come attached to human bodies, with the whole, y'know, alive thing going on there. That means that I don't particularly like penis-y looking dildos. I'd rather have something like one of the following:

      1. Ella, who is stunningly beautiful but intended to excel at one thing, though she can also thrust from the other end.
      2. Something glass that shows off a range of what glass can do, so like texture on one part but not another; maybe 2 different sized ends. Maybe something like the Silenzio? Or one of those double-ended ones that have different stuff going on at each end.

--something silicone that seemed just ideal for me and was aiming for a perfect shape to pleasure me but wasn't creating (additional) insecurities in my partner. Like .. God I have been sounding like a broken-record ad for these dildos, but the Tantus O2 Flurry, Cush, or revolution. Revolution is maybe big for a new user; Cush might be too, but lots of people love it. Flurry is more slender.
